Music fans have been anticipating his return to Southeast Asia ever since it was confirmed that his “Sanctuary 2.0 World Tour” will include Malaysia and Singapore.

In case you didn’t know, the singer’s 1st show in Singapore sold out within 1.5 hours as son as general tickets went live. A 2nd show on 22nd December 2019 (Sunday) was then added and even then, it didn’t take long before concert-goers snapped it up like hot cakes.

After rumours surfaced last month that Fish Leong (梁靜茹) and her hubby of 9 years Tony Chao had separated, the Malaysian singer has officially confirmed the news.

Over the weekend, the 41-year-old performer admitted that she and the Taiwanese wine merchant were no longer together after her show in Taipei.

“Thanks everyone for your support,” Leong told the media backstage. “I’ll confirm what everyone is thinking. I have signed the divorce papers with Mr Chao, but there are still some procedures that haven’t been completed yet. We were already separated since August, and we will be sharing the custody of our child.” The couple have a 5-year-old son named Anderson.

“I still need to soak all of this in. My parents have been spending time with me,” she added. When journos started to probe deeper, asking if a third party was involved, the singer lowered her head and remained silent. Her manager then stepped in and ended the interview session, saying, “This thing has been going on for quite some time already
She is an adult and knows how to handle this.”

Leong, 41, and Chao, 44 went on a vacay to Maldives earlier this year to celebrate their 9th year anniversary. Sadly things didn’t turned out okay. While there were rumours that the Taiwanese business had a fling with a female Internet celebrity some time back, it was believed that Leong has already forgiven him.

What’s puzzling is that netizens on Weibo seem to think that the falling out between the former flames may be due to Chao’s sexuality. Is he a closeted gay? Netizens think that may be a reason for the divorce. Readers are advised to take this with a grain of salt though.

The 22-year-old actress is no stranger to blockbusters – having starred in “Bumblebee” and voice Spider-Gwen in the award-winning “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”. In the comics, Kate is the daughter of a rich crime lord. After being assaulted, she trains to become a skilled martial artist and later becomes one of the Young Avengers.

She took up the Hawkeye identity after being impressed that a mere mortal could stand alongside superheroes like Thor and Captain America. No doubt we’ll get to witness the dynamic between Clint and Kate.

As for Galactus (known as the Devourer of Worlds), fans are predicting the larger-than-life villain to appear in one of Marvel’s cosmic movies like “Captain Marvel 2”, “Guardians 3”, a “Nova” film or maybe “The Ultimates”.

Nothing has been confirmed yet but Marvel is eyeing Liam Neeson. Other actors such as David Morrisey and Mark Strong are also on the studio’s radar. Out of the trio, Neeson is definitely the preferred choice as he possesses one of the most distinct voices.

Last week, we learned that Malaysian writer Adele Lim had dropped out of the “Crazy Rich Asians” sequel over pay disparity. Director Jon M. Chu is finally weighing in on the controversy.

In case you didn’t know, Adele was initially offered US$110,000-plus compared to her white male co-writer Peter Chiarelli, who got somewhere between US$800,000 to US$1 million.

Adele felt like she was being used by Warner Bros. to “sprinkle culturally specific details on a screenplay”. That meant she would never get paid what she deserved. Director Jon M. Chu (who personally hired her) released a statement on his social media, acknowledging her situation but ultimately admitting that his hands are tied.

PU Azman recently shared with his followers on his opinions on females wearing fake lashes as well as extending their eyelashes.

The 38-year-old preacher wrote on his caption, “Eyelash extension and fake lashes are seen as ‘haram’ (against Islamic teachings) and also may contain extreme elements such as manipulation. The wearer wants to confirm to people that it’s indeed her eyelashes, but in fact it’s not.”

“If the wearer doesn’t intend to do so, it’s still considered ‘haram’ because others will think it’s her real lashes, then there is an element of manipulation. Wearing fake lashes is also haram because the lashes contain glue that prevents wudu’ (ablution) and also junub (ritual purification) to flow. If it doesn’t contain glue then it’s still considered ‘haram’ due to its element of manipulation,” he added in his post.

As a response to that, actress Rozita Che’ Wan also left a comment to express her curiousity regarding the issue. Rozita – known as Che’ Ta among the public – wrote on the comment section, “What if the people already know that it’s fake eyelashes? Then how?”

The preacher-turned-actor then sarcastically replied, “That falls under extreme dress up. If you want to dress up in front of your husband inside the house then you’ll get pahala (reward), Kak Bedah”

Most of local netizens gave positive remarks to Che’ Ta following her comments towards PU Azman’s post. Most of them left complimenting words towards the 46-year-old celebrity-turned-entrepreneur, saying that she looks better without wearing fake eyelashes.

The haze in Malaysia seems to be going from bad to worse.

Selangor Education Department deputy director Muhammad Radzi Abdullah has advised Selangor school authorities “to use the circular (issued by the Education Ministry) as a precautionary guideline to safeguard the wellbeing of students, in view of the haze situation“.

The circular states that all out-of-classroom or outdoor activities in school are required to stop when the Air Pollution Index (API) level hits 100 and above. This category is already deemed unhealthy.

When the API increases to 200 (very unhealthy), schools in the affected area or district have to be shut down. If the API ever reaches 500 and beyond, it’s a critical stage. “So far, no schools in Selangor have been closed due to the haze. The Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination proceeded as normal today and there were no disruptions,” Radzi was quoted as saying.

As of today (11th September), the Air Pollution Index Malaysia (APIMS) announced that 5 areas in Selangor has already reached an unhealthy stage. They include:

1. Kuala Selangor at 133
2. Johan Setia at 183
3. Banting at 133
4. Shah Alam at 145
5. Petaling Jaya at 142

So far, Rompin, Pahang has suffered the worst air pollution – hitting 224 API (at time of writing). As a result, schools in Rompin might be close tomorrow. 6 Chung Hwa primary schools in Kuching, Sarawak have already announced their closure due to the bad condition.

“The story of an ordinary man, Cha Dal Gun (Lee Seung Gi) who got involved in a case of a civilian plane crash, which killed his nephew. In order to uncover a hidden truth, he tries to dig up a huge national corruption. His life then intertwines with Go Hae Ri (Suzy), a covert operative for the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

1. Lee Seung Gi as Cha Dal Gun

Cha Dal Gun is an aspiring martial artist and stuntman who dreams of becoming an action actor. He’s skilful in several martial arts including Taekwondo, judo, jujitsu, kendo and boxing. Sadly, he is often rejected during castings due to his fear of being in front of the camera.

He gets involved in a tragic plane crash that also kills his nephew – whom he has raised on behalf of his dead brother – along with 24 other participants of a Taekwondo demonstration. Since then, no one has the audacity to bring up the case due to an untold scandal. Cha Dal Gun willingly tries to uncover the truth in order to stand up for his dead nephew’s rights.

2. Bae Suzy as Go Hae Ri

Go Hae Ri is forced to become the head of the family to support her mom as well as her younger brother. In hopes of becoming a full-time police officer, she signs up to become an agent at the National Intelligence Service.

As the series uncover, she finds herself stuck between two life-threatening choices – where she has to choose between conscience or reality.

3. Shin Sung Rok as Ki Tae Woong

Ki Tae Woong is the team leader of NIS. He thinks like a professional and doesn’t show his vulnerable side in front of others. He often shows off his efficiency and professionalism while working.

He’s born in a wealthy family – his father is a hospital director while his mother is a university professor. His position in the NIS comes to jeopardy when political parties start to shift.

Tae Woong then is assigned to Morocco to catch the accomplice of the terrorist attack of the plane crash. At first, he and Cha Dal Gun don’t get along well due to the fact that Cha Dal Gun interferes in the NIS operation. But as the series go, they eventually become more closer.

It’s been 15 years since Brian McFadden quit Westlife yet he hasn’t been able to completely shake off the boyband.

In speaking with Manchester Evening News, the 39-year-old Irish singer discussed if he regretted leaving Westlife and if he would consider joining them on their comeback tour.

While McFadden is probably sick of people bringing up Westlife time and time again, he understands their curiosity. Regardless whether he’s performing as a solo artist or as a duo with Boyzone’s Keith Duffy, his concert setlist usually consists of Wesltlife’s early repertoire in addition to his own material.

In spite of the nostalgia, the singer explained that it’ll be weird to appear on stage together with former bandmates Shane Filan, Markus Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne. “Singing Westlife songs does bring back memories. I’ve been singing the songs for over 20 years now. But I have never regretted leaving,” he said.

He continued, “Westlife are a different band now than when I was there, they’ve reinvented themselves. When they went on tour recently everyone was asking why I wasn’t going back for it, but I left back in 2004, so they’ve been without me for 15 years. If I went back, I’d need to learn 20 plus songs for the show, plus it would be weird for this guy who hasn’t been involved for so long to just turn up on stage and sing.”

A few years back, McFadden even claimed that he “saved” the band by leaving in 2004. Apparently the quartet wouldn’t have stayed together much longer had he not made the decision to move on.

For some reason, netizens seem to think that Sunmi (선미) recently got a boob job.

To stop the rumour from getting out of hand, the former Wonder Girls member took to Twitter to clap back at trolls with a cheeky tweet.

“I didn’t get a boob job, HUMANS!” the 27-year-old singer clarified, before adding, “Well, I would have bigger if I wanted to. LOL.” To quote All Kpop, it’s refreshing to see a K-pop star speaking up so candidly. Most of the answers are usually very PR.

“She recently very openly stated that she gained 10 kg on purpose because she thought she would die if she stayed as underweight as she was before. Weight gain = bigger boobs. It’s not rocket science,” a fan commented on Sunmi’s situation.

Known for her distinct friendly persona as well as her free-spirited approach towards the people, she often used the medium to interact with her fans apart from sharing several wonderful moments as the Royal Queen.

It’s believed that the incident started to happen all thanks to a Twitter user, @frdsasrf (username) who proudly shared a post on his account that he had blocked Permaisuri Agong’s account.

To top it off, some also showed their support for his actions in doing so and started to share unnecessary negativity. Check out his tweet as well as netizens’ reactions below:

The absence of Tuanku’s Twitter account has generated significant buzz among people online, with most of them expressing their sadness and regret. In addition, some fans of Permaisuri Agong suggested to block the person’s account for being rude towards the Queen.

It appears that SuperM (슈퍼엠) has a new leader in their midst!

During a recent Instagram Live broadcast, all 7 members – SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, and NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas – sat down to answer some fan questions.

A number of topics were brought up such as their first impressions of each other, how they reacted to the news when SM Entertainment and Capitol Music Group wanted to form an Avengers-like K-pop supergroup, as well as their upcoming new music.

But one of the interesting answers that fans got was the reveal of which member would take on the leadership role in SuperM. When Taemin’s name was brought up, he immediately shut it down and suggested another member.

“No, I personally think that it’d be best if Baekhyun were the leader. It’s true that if you look at the length of our careers, mine is longer, but even in SHINee, I was the youngest. And since we (SuperM) practiced a lot together, (I noticed) that Baekhyun takes especially good care of the other members, and I rely a lot on him as well. To be honest, I personally wanted to request that Baekhyun take on the role (of leader),” Taemin said.

Baekhyun didn’t need much convincing, saying, “Ah, I wouldn’t mind being leader.” Even Kai pointed out, “Both in EXO and in SuperM, you have a lot of influence on the group atmosphere.”

It’s no secret that Ruhainies is enjoying dating life with her boyfriend, Elf Johan – based on her postings on social media.

However, the lovebirds recently caused a stir in the internet world, courtesy of the celebrity’s recent post on her Twitter account.

The “Hello, Mr. Perfect!” actress posted a picture of Elf – or Mr. E in short – feeding her with a plate of nasi kandar inside his car which netizens believed is a Ferrari.

“I was hungry but I didn’t want to eat at the stall because I was messy. Last-last he ordered nasi kandaq and brought in the plate and fed me inside the car hahahahaha,” she wrote on the caption, before adding, “OMG he can be so funny sometimes. How can I not love this guy.”

The tweet was met with massive backlash from local fans. Most of them expressed their disgust towards the couple. Some of them also compared the actress to a spoiled brat by using words such as ‘gedik’ as well as ‘mengada-ngada’.

However, some even assured the 27-year-old that it’s totally fine to act that way sometimes, but pointed out that she has to know her boundaries. Here are some netizens’ comments towards the post:

Ruhainies updated her fans with another tweet to address the issue. In the tweet, she gave out a list of clarification to all the “bitter” netizens out there, “First of all, chill out and clean up your hearts. The crisis between controversial celebrity Sharnaaz Ahmad and his wife Noor Nabila has been ongoing since the latter filed for divorce on August 27th (Tuesday).

Both Sharnaaz and Nabila were at the Mahkamah Syariah Wilayah Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (11th September) in hopes to resolve any disputes occurring in their marriage.

During the proceedings for the case, the court ordered the pair to appoint a Jawatankuasa Pendamai (Conciliatory Committee) – or JKP in short. According to news reports, the order was released following the “Juvana” actor’s refusal to accept Nabila’s request for divorce.

After the end of the proceeding, the elder sister of popular celebrity Neelofa was seen having difficulty holding back her tears. Refusing to give further comments on the case, Nabila said that for the time being she’ll focus on their one and only son, Jebat Jayden.

“I don’t want to give further statement (about the divorce). I want to focus on raising my son well. I hope everyone will pray the best for me,” Nabila said as reported by mStar.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old actor was hesitant in addressing why he refused Nabila’s request for a divorce. Instead, he commented that he’ll try his best to look for solution regarding their ongoing crisis. He also expressed hopes that all future decisions will be made easier.

“My intention is to find the best solution for both sides. When I say that I don’t agree with decision, it means that we are trying our best to look for the way out as good as possible. People often say things are good when we get married, but it’s the opposite when it comes to divorcing. We’ll look into the good things that can be found from this matter.”

Sharnaaz and Nabila tied the knot on 31st March 2017. It was reported by several local news outlets that they’ve been living separately since February 2018.

In addition, Nabila claimed that Sharnaaz only gave her RM500 nafkah (alimony) per month even though the actor’s able to provide more than the stated price.
