Since the start of this week, a series of concerts in Malaysia have been halted. You can now add 2 more to that growing list.
StarPlanet has just informed us that besides Super Junior, additional concerts will be postponed. They are Kenny G’s concert as well as Miriam Yeung’s “My Beautiful Live” world tour.

Kenny G was originally supposed to perform at Resorts World Genting this Sunday (16th February) in the Arena of Stars. Due to the seriousness of coronavirus proliferation, “tighter flight and immigration restrictions have affected the travel schedule of some of the Kenny G’s crew members”.
Likewise, Miriam Yeung (杨千嬅) was scheduled to perform at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil next month, on 21st March 2020. Her concert has also been pushed back. Concert-goers are advised to hold on to your tickets as the rescheduled dates will be announced once necessary arrangements have been made.
In addition, The Wynners’ – featuring Alan Tam, Kenny Bee, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip and Anthony Chan – “L.O.V.E” concert in Resorts World Genting has been postponed to 12th December 2020 (Saturday). They were supposed to perform on 22nd February 2020.
More concerts between now till June are expected to be postponed or cancelled.
The ongoing rivalry between two famed public figures; Dato’ Seri Vida and Azwan Ali has yet to reach a solution.
The 54-year-old celebrity has step in to clear the air in an exclusive media conference that was held yesterday (Tuesday, 11th February). This came following Dato’ Vida’s threat to bring her case with Azwan to court.
During the event, he openly fulfilled all 4 demands that were requested by the Qu Puteh owner. For the uninitiated, she previously demanded him to apologise in public as well as to remove all Dato’ Vida-related posts online.
Additionally, Azwan has to admit that his previous statement was defamatory and has been asked to stop bringing up about past issues. “With the witness of my lawyer, Mohamed Fu’ad Zainal Abidin, I publicly apologise (to Dato’ Vida). This statement came after a lot of research and studies done together. It’s not about win-lose situation,” Azwan told the media.

Denying the fact that the clip was targeted to slam Dato’ Vida and her family members, Azwan clarified, “The uploaded video didn’t specifically mention anyone. Since Dato’ Vida claimed that she was offended by the post, I respect her decision.”
“If she considered what I mentioned in the clip as blasphemy and might affect her business, I will take that back!” he further added. When asked whether he’s prepared to face the “I Am Me” singer, Azwan responded by saying, “I have no problem with that. I think it’s better to make peace.”
In response, Dato’ Vida posted a video of herself on IGTV, commenting on his recent statement at the conference. Initially, she claimed that she refused to proceed with taking legal actions. However, she felt challenged by the apology issued by Azwan.
She felt that the “Harry Boy” actor was being insincere. “I had to (proceed with legal actions) in order to restore my tarnished reputations. All the insults, slams were intolerable,” the 49-year-old said in the clip.
Vida added, “The lawyer will file a lawsuit against you, Azwan. I hope you will never bring up this case from now on. You have to clean up all the mess that you’ve done.”

Indonesian transsexual star Lucinta Luna was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, 11th February), after she was found guilty of possessing cocaine.
Apparently. the police officers have been facing a hard time on deciding which prison cell to place her – male or female? For those who don’t know, the 30-year-old was born as a man. Her real name is Muhammad Fattah. She even found mainstream recognition in our country as Datuk Aliff Syukri’s duet partner in the song “Bobo Di Mana”.
“Since the case is still under investigation, we have yet to decide on where Lucinta will be located, either the male cell or the female cell,” said Iptu Bachrun, Head of Public Relations, Metro Jaya Police Department.
In the meantime, Iptu added that they’re still not sure on how long they will keep the “Bobo Di Mana” singer detained. Besides Lucinta, 3 other individuals were also arrested to assist with the investigation.
As at time of writing, Lucinta is still being detained by the cops for further questioning.
The notice was issued by the Wilayah Persekutuan Health Depertment after word has it that the nasi kandar stall was found in an outrageously unclean state. It’s safe to say that this condition might affect customers’ health.
However, the reports didn’t reveal much evidence on the the exact conditions of the stall as exposed in the famous food stall selling the same local dish in Penang last year. For those who don’t know, the popular nasi kandar stall was also instructed to cease their business after they found cockroach poops and rat urine in their kitchen.

In a recent interview with Harian Metro, Sajat shared that she’s more than prepared to cooperate with Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in order to find a solution in regards to her real gender identity.
According to the 35-year-old, she has tried to resolve the matter with the authorities. However, they claimed that this case is classified as high profile, much to Sajat’s disappointment. Following the recent issue, Sajat hopes that the department will provide a clear and detailed guidance for her.
“All this time, I didn’t want to make medical reports as requested. But they (JAKIM) advised me to go to the hospital without any supporting documents. If JAKIM really wanted to help, they should’ve issued an official letter and informed me on who should I consult to,” said Sajat.

What a pleasant surprise! Out of nowhere, Matt Reeves released the first official look at Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
The director, who has been constantly raving about “The Batman”, posted a 45-second camera test clip on Vimeo. It’s not a full on reveal of everything, but still, it’s R-Patz in his superhero suit!
The clip looks like it was shot in a dark room with our new Caped Crusader barely visible against the red glow. The 34-year-old Brit walks towards the camera in slow mo, revealing the metal bat-symbol embedded in his chest plate. We then get a closer look at his shoulder armour and his cowl.
There’s definitely a lot of interesting details here. At first glance, it’s a different vibe of costume from what we’ve seen before. You can tell that they’ve taken a more Arkham-style approach based on the chest plate. That Bat symbol on him looks super bad ass!
During the final audition process, Pattinson shared that he had tried on the iconic Batman costume – or at least Reeves’ version. “I remember saying to Matt, ‘It does feel quite transformative!‘” the actor said. “He was like, ‘I would hope it does! You’re literally in the Batsuit.’”

They are Kim Jae Joong (김재중)’s Asia Tour, which was scheduled on 14th March 2020, as well as Khalid’s “Free Spirit World Tour”, scheduled for 4th April 2020.

As you may be well aware, majority of the concerts from this month till April have either been pushed back indefinitely or cancelled. Judging from the current coronavirus infection, it would be risky both for the artists and their production team, as well as concert-goers.
iMe Malaysia has informed that those who have purchased the tickets will get able to get the full refund from TicketCharge. Since fans will have to purchase new tickets for the postponed shows, you are encouraged to get your refund as the current tickets will be deemed invalid moving forward.

It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day date with Ronan Keating on Friday (14th February). Despite the many concert cancellations due to coronavirus, the “Love At 6118” show went on as usual.

At approximately 8:40pm, the lights dimmed and Keating kicked off his 18-song setlist with some of his earliest singles “Loving Each Day”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, and “If Tomorrow Never Comes”. Dressed in jeans and a brown jacket over a collared shirt, the 43-year-old Irish singer jokingly asked if the guys were getting as much love as the ladies that night. “Don’t forget us, we guys have hearts too,” he said – much to the amusement of the crowd in the Arena of Stars.
Since the concert was titled “Love at 6118 – A Valentine’s Special with Ronan Keating”, audiences were treated with love songs from start to finish. What made this night special was Keating performing nostalgic duets we haven’t heard in a long time (the LeAnn Rimes duet “Last Thing on My Mind”), all time favourite “When You Say Nothing at All”, and his brand new song, “One Of A Kind”.
“One Of A Kind” is the first single taken from his upcoming 11th studio album “Twenty Twenty” (out 1st May). Here’s a fun fact: the song was written Westlife members Shane Filan and Markus Feehily; plus it features Emeli Sandé. Even though the British songstress wasn’t present to perform the duet with Keating, her recorded vocals was played during the concert. The only drawback was that it sometimes overpowered Keating’s vocals.
Although the handsome pop star was just here in Malaysia in June 2019 for Boyzone’s encore farewell concert, he said, “I cannot fly all the way here from London without singing Boyzone’s songs now can I?” Judging from the loud cheers, fans didn’t mind listening to the boyband’s discography one bit.
We liked the fact “Father and Son” started off more stripped down, which gave us an intimate vibe. The lyrics of a father not understanding his child’s desire to break free really hit a soft spot with yours truly. The Boyzone hits included “Love Me for a Reason”, “All That I Need”, “Baby Can I Hold You”, and Keating’s personal favourite – “You Needed Me”.

One of the other highlights came when the singer-songwriter surprised everyone by walking down from stage during the “Picture Of You” number. Fans at the VVIP section rushed in-front to shake Keating’s hand and to give him a fist pump. Someone even gifted him with a bouquet of roses.
Time literally flew by.
Shortly after “Brown Eyed Girl”, Keating exited the stage for a few minutes before returning to the stage to perform 3 more songs for his encore set. The night ended on a high note with his 2000 hit “Life Is A Rollercoaster”. All in all, it was a good mixture everything. The intimacy of this concert was more enjoyable this time around and Keating’s vocals was sufficient in bringing us on a journey that ended too soon.
For many, it was their best Valentine’s Day yet 😉
Keating did teased that he may be returning to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore for another concert that will likely focus on songs from his new record. Sign us up for that one!

“Crash Landing On You” (사랑의 불시착) concluded on a satisfying and triumphant note last night (Sunday, 16th February).
Spoiler alert – Captain Ri Jeong-hyuk and Yoon Se-ri got their happy ending after all, much to the delight of K-drama fans who have been following the series religiously.

Nielsen Korea reported that the 16-episode show broke a record by achieving the highest viewership ratings in tvN history. The final broadcast garnered an average nationwide rating of 21.683% and a peak rating of 24.1%. As expected, “Crash Landing On You” faired even better in Seoul with an average viewership rating of 23.249% during the last episode.
The previous record holder was “Goblin”, when its finale brought in a peak rating of 20.5% back in January 2017. As of now, “Crash Landing On You” is reportedly the 2nd highest rated drama in Korean television cable history; only behind “Sky Castle”. Of course, the impressive feat wouldn’t be possible without the star power couple of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.

It’s only February, but it seems like “Crash Landing On You” has already become the biggest and best performing K-dramas in 2020 so far. So how did “Crash Landing On You” became such a monster hit among viewers? Here’s what we gather:
A stellar cast: Joining Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye as the main leads. The supporting cast of Captain Ri’s soldier squad and North Korean village women were equally captivating.
No shortage of humour. Regardless of how serious the situation got, there was also room for laughter.
The insight into North Korea culture was refreshing. It was interesting to observe the civilisation and the visible contrast between North Korea and South Korea.
The scenic view at Switzerland was gorgeous to marvel at.
And of course, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s undeniable chemistry.
One fan sum it up perfectly, saying, “After the last episode of CLOY last night, I slept with a very happy heart knowing that we were given the best heartwarming ending ever for the RiRi couple. Congratulations to the whole CLOY team for giving us fans an amazing Kdrama. It was worth my time, energy, eye bags and tears😍💞 I love everything about CLOY, the cast, plot, soundtrack most especially its ending.”
