If you’ve been following Apple on Instagram, it’s no secret that the giant tech will sometimes share people’s photos on their main Apple account. It’s often a snapshot taken via iPhone with the hashtag #ShotoniPhone.
The company usually receives thousands, if not, millions of these hashtags every week. However, it was a nice surprise that the recent addition in the Apple’s Instagram catalog of photos features a shot that taken on our home soil.
Taken by local resident @dinnyaiman, the shot was originally uploaded on his own Instagram account on 13th November 2019. The photo was taken in the northern state of Perlis and features a young man looking on to the distant, while standing at an open plain as wondrous mountains and clouds filled the background.
It didn’t take long before the photo gained the attention of Apple, as they quickly contacted him a few days later on 26th November 2019 to request permission to share the photo. After confirming that the picture was indeed taken with an iPhone (iPhone 7 Plus to be exact), the shot was then re-uploaded on the Apple main Instagram account 4 days ago (23rd December 2019).
The picture quickly went viral with it already gaining 290k likes at the time of writing. Netizens were full of praise for the local hero, as they flock to his Instagram account to congratulate him. Check out some of their kind words here:

The 25-year-old cosmetics entrepreneur has caused another controversy thanks to his recent update on Instagram.
Safiey posted a photo of him fully dressed in female clothing, along with a lengthy caption explaining that he is aiming to make a triumphant comeback in the coming year. He also claimed that he had become a victim of betrayal, where a lot of people wanted to see him fail.
“Pray for me! No more clowned and controversial clips. I just want to highlight the good values towards the society. Correct me if I’ve ever crossed the line,” the “Syinta Gila” singer wrote. He further added that he will focus solely on his business come 2020.
Despite the inspiring caption, a lot of netizens were focused on Safiey’s choice of clothing instead. In this case, many of them slammed him for allegedly making fun of religion, with one Instagram user pointing out that the controversial figure is going back and forth with his decision.

Camera, lights, action – all eyes are on Kim Woo Bin (김우빈).
After informing fans that he will be making his TV comeback as a narrator for MBC’s upcoming documentary “Humanimal”, his agency SidusHQ released a lovely surprise.
The 4 high res photos are black-and-white shots from his pictorial photoshoot. What got fans excited was Kim Woo Bin’s long and lushes hair. Someone even commented that this long hairstyle makes him look like a real life Disney prince.
A representative from SidusHQ stated, “We did this photoshoot when (Kim Woo Bin) had very long hair as a way to record it to show to fans who weren’t able to greet him during that time. We planned it specifically like a gift for later.”
Local netizens couldn’t help but to be amused with Cleopatra (real name Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharuddin)’s recent update on social media.
The famed director of Cleo International firm posted a picture of a private jet with the caption, “The person I needed the most taught me I don’t need anybody.”
However, one Twitter user known as Pedoq (tweet handle: @pedoqpop) has claimed that Cleopatra was using an image from Google! Feel free to compare the picture she posted and the one from Google Images.
In response, the 25-year-old has came forward to clap back at the haters; by putting the blame on Malaysians for focusing on the unnecessary. She took to Instagram to vent out her frustration towards everyone who had nothing better to do but slam others.
“The clip of me cooking has reached 1 million views but everyone condemned my way of preparing the dish. Now it’s the issue regarding Cessna jet? What are you Malaysians doing? Doing worthless business and complained that graduates as well as the B40 groups are having troubles to find a job,” Cleopatra wrote.
She concluded by adding, “Complaining on the increasing cost of living and blame the current government and then protest – that’s the main cause for the problem, it is yourself and not the government!”

3. What inspired her vision behind mixing the track and how does she want listeners to feel.
I had a lot on my mind when I first started the Siloso Beat project. Sentosa is a place where I’ve seen its transformation since I was a kid till my adulthood and I’m sure it’s the same for many Singaporeans. I wanted to incorporate all the possible unique sounds that I could find on the island and make it into a track that people can hear and can feel as if they are already on Sentosa, surrounded by these elements without being physically there. The track also has an incredible amount of energy. I hope it sets all the partygoers in the mood ready for the upcoming Siloso Beach Party!
4. Challenges she faced while working on the Siloso Beat.
Definitely the timeline and the whole process of trying to find that perfect sound! Producing music takes a lot of time and not to forget recording these raw sounds under Singapore’s hot weather. Nonetheless, the entire production was super fun and a great experience for me. I’ve never done this before and I’m glad I took up this challenge.

It has been days since the release of Universal Pictures’ “Cats”, and the response has been less than optimal, to say the least.
In fact, the film is so bad that many have already labelled it as the worse film of the year, with reviews being overwhelmingly negative. One such person who has been particularly critical of the film, was Evan Rachel Wood, who left a rather savage review of the film on her Twitter account.

In a now deleted Twitter post, the 32-year-old took to her Twitter account to express her horror after seeing the adaptation last Wednesday (25th December 2019). In the post she revealed that, “#Cats is actually worse than I thought it would be. And I already thought it would be horrible. But….I am actually speechless. Why would you change the choreography? I…am SPEECHLESS,” she wrote.
The actress even replied to a comment on her post that reads, “I felt like I was on acid watching it. So utterly bizarre,” by fandom writer Eric Goldman. She responded the comment with, “Totally! Like my life is not in danger, but I feel like I’m going to die.” The reply have since garnered 9 retweets and 232 likes, at the time of writing.

Award-winning actress Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) set the internet abuzz earlier in October when she announced that she is currently pregnant.

There’s a possibility that the Chinese star accidentally let slipped about the gender when she commented on Wang Feng (汪峰)’s Weibo account. Over the weekend, the pair decided to spend some time together with their daughter at the beach as they celebrate the 4-year-old’s birthday. This led to the 48-year-old singer wishing his daughter happy birthday on his Weibo account.
In the singer’s Weibo post, he wrote, “Dearest Xing Xing, these words written on the beach is a gift for your 4th birthday from Mum and me. We believe that this is a very special, sincere and priceless gift. Anthony Jaquin, a master of hypnosis with years of experience in therapy, training and entertainment, is also a member of Psycrets, the British Society of Mystery Entertainers. The author of “Reality is Plastic” has been teaching people on how to use hypnosis as a tool in professional skills and personal enhancement.
Aathi, on the other hand, is the youngest and one of the most sought after Deception Analyst in India. In his words, “A mentalist is a person who can psychologically redirect human thoughts and behaviour. Despite a few setbacks such as being conflicted with their family members’ cultural values as well as other people’s shallow perceptions, we do believe that these individuals had their own reasons on coming out with such drastic decisions.

1. Salmafina Sunan
Controversial Indonesian celebrity Salmafina Sunan decided to change her religion from Muslim to Christian, which in turn has received massive reactions from netizens. Prior to that, the 20-year-old caused a stir after removing her hijab following her divorce with ex-husband Taqy Malik.
The news of Salmafina’s conversion to Christianity circulated in mid-2019. Recently, she was asked by one of her followers her thoughts on celebrating Christmas for the first time. Her response was shocking, though. She revealed that this would be her second time celebrating the festive season.
2. Nafa Urbach
Actress-singer Nafa Urbach is also among other notable celebrities who have changed their religion. The “Hatiku Bagai Terpenjara” singer got married to ex-athlete Zack Lee at the Immanuel Church, Central Jakarta on 16th February 2007.
Both Nafa and Zack had different religious backgrounds – Nafa was born a Muslim while Zack is a Christian. Following the spread of her marriage news, the “Aishiteru” star announced that she had converted to Christianity.
3. Deddy Corbuzier
On the other hand, hunky radio announcer-actor Deddy Corbuzier had officially changed his religion to Islam in mid-June 2019. He underwent the process of reciting the shahada (Muslims’ ritual of professing faith to the God) at the Ora Aji boarding school in Yogyakarta. The ceremony was held in public, by the 42-year-old’s friend Gus Miftah, who is also the headmaster of the religious institution.
4. Jay Kim
Korean vlogger and YouTube personality Jay Kim (김재한) surprised his fans after announcing that he had converted to Islam in September 2019. The former K-pop star posted a video of him reciting the shahada in front of the members of the Seoul Central Mosque on his YouTube channel and Instagram.
Additionally, he revealed that he had changed his name to Daud Kim after converting.
5. Fano KIFLYF TV
Fellow YouTuber Fano (real name Delfano Charies) who found fame through his channel KIFLYF TV has officially embraced Islam in November 2019. It was reported that he had a tough time in coming out with the decision.
Fano recited the shahada in front of his family members and friends. He took to his Instagram to express his gratitude to everyone who supported his journey, especially his beloved mother.
The “Anakku Bukan Anakku” actor has long planned to embrace Islam way before tying the knot with wifey Cut Meyriska. This was confirmed by the Mualaf Centre Yogyakarta (MCY) after being contacted by the media in back in October 2018.
Roger shared in an interview that he had to ask for his parents’ permissions first before converting. Not only that, the 37-year-old revealed that he was moved by Muslims’ lifestyle after seeing his close friends as well as colleagues in the local entertainment scene.
Back in March 2019 during the proceeding of his ongoing drug abuse case, the Indo-American heartthrob shocked everyone when he referred himself as a Christian, 11 years after converting to Islam in 2008. Refusing to stay silent, the 21-year-old came out to clarify the whole situation. “I have no idea on their true motives. As far as I know, I don’t have any foes. I’m not sure whether if they are jealous,” Aiman told Harian Metro.

She would later learn that her boyfriend have died and left a big portion of the wealth to her, but she soon suspect that the death was a hoax as she felt an invisible present stalking her.

Held at the company’s owned cattle ranch located at Ladang 16, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) last weekend, the “Picnic At The Farm” concert carnival featured a massive star-studded lineup including the top 8 “Gegar Vaganza” season 6 (GV6) contestants as well as “Big Stage 2” winner Han Byul (한별).
According to CEO Mr. Azmi Zainal, the event aims to honour the company’s team and employees for their hard work. “This concert is also considered as a follow-up to the popular ‘Gegar Vaganza’ show. However, it is only targeted to our stockists as well as those who were involved,” he told MCs Bell Ngasri and Fiza Frizzy.
“Additionally, I’ve also invited a few loyal customers who have been supporting Farm Fresh from day 1. In regards to the selection of the venue, I believe the location strongly portrays the image of the product that we’ve carried,” Mr. Azmi shared during the event.
Apart from enjoying live performances, fans also got to take part in other interesting activities such as zumba dance and fun games with the participating artistes. For those who don’t know, the concert was fully pre-recorded for airing that will take place sometime this month.
Speaking of the concert, the crowd couldn’t help but went all out during the performances. They waved and sang along to the performing acts’ take on popular jams such as “Vroom Vroom” (performed by Noorshila Amin), “Untukmu Selamanya” (Sham Visa) and “Luka dan Bahagia” (Han Byul).
Besides that, other songs that were covered during the event include “Kembara” (One Nation Emcees), “Darah Muda” (Wann), “Cinta Luar Biasa” (Hady Mirza) and “Episod Cinta” (Naqiu). Die-hard fans also got the opportunity to take part in a meet and greet session with the singers afterwards.
Before the show ended, Mr. Azmi spilled some interesting news for loyal supporters of their products. It was revealed that Ladang 16 will be picked up as an agro-tourism centre when it opens for public this coming February 2020.
“I’ve received a lot of requests from everyone who are interested to pay their visit to our farm. The agro-tourism centre will have an industrial concept as the main attraction. Besides the cattle farm, there are also other attractions such as koi fish ponds, botanical and vegetable gardens. I will also set the floral garden to look exactly like the ones you can find at Amsterdam,” he jokingly said.

A Facebook named MeiKwan Chin tried the new flavour at FamilyMart Malaysia and the feedback was a disappointing one. In her opinion, “the flavour was very bland like plain yoghurt unlike matcha green tea and belgian dark chocolate…me and my boyfriend had a hard time trying to finish the whole cup“.
