Miley Cyrus’ relationship merry-go-round has been in circulation for a while now, with the singer having been in multiple relationships filled with endless drama.
This resulted in the “Wrecking Ball” singer being with her second partner following the split from ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. The new romance saw her paired with Australian singer Cody Simpson. However, rumour has it that the duo’s fling has run its course.
The rumours started with a report from Radar Online. According to the report, a source told them that the 26-year-old was taking some time off to focus on herself. Apparently, she is distancing herself from the 22-year-old for now. “They are taking a break, but want to remain friends,” the source revealed. “She said she just needs to focus on herself.”
The news then caught wind and the rumour spread like wildfire, with the breakup being sourced on multiple news portals. We also can’t deny the fact that the duo haven’t been around each other on their Instagram accounts lately.
Not all hope seems to be lost however, as a recent report coming out from E! News suggests that the rumour about the split might have been baseless and the relationship between the two are still going strong.
“Miley and Cody saw each other last week when he visited her in Tennessee. They are fine and are still dating,” a source told E! News. “Miley has been resting from her vocal surgery but has been in touch and seen Cody recently.”
The source later added about some rules in the relationship set up by Cyrus before the two lovebirds started dating, saying, “Miley always made it clear to Cody that she likes to have freedom and he always understood the dynamic of the relationship.”
So which do you think is true? Are they really giving up on the relationship or are they just laying low on their relationship from their social media at the moment?
Tiffany Young (황미영) recently made an appearance as a guest for an interview with music and entertainment portal Pop Crush.
During the session, she was asked to choose a few girl group members she would love to create a super group with. In this case, the results didn’t turn out very surprising to us at all!
We believe not only SONEs (SNSD fans), but almost every K-fans worldwide have been dearly missing her stint as a member of a girl group. For those who are curious, these are the top 3 K-pop artistes that were hand-picked by the Girls’ Generation star herself:
1. Red Velvet’s Seulgi (슬기)
According to the 30-year-old, she got the honour of watching Seulgi blossomed to become one of the top entertainers in the K-pop scene. For the uninitiated, Seulgi became a trainee for SM Entertainment back in 2007. In the same year, Tiffany has just debuted with multi-platinum band Girls’ Generation.
“Her performance is just impeccable. I’ve watched her grow up before she got on stage and now that she’s on stage, and how much she’s grown, she’s definitely somebody to watch,” said Tiffany.
2. Mamamoo’s Hwasa (화사)
Tiffany knew who exactly came to mind for her next choice – the lucky girl would be Mamamoo’s vocalist Hwasa! “I think Mamamoo’s Hwasa is charismatic AF. We’ll need more of her,” the “I Just Wanna Dance Singer” shared during the chat.
If you don’t believe us, check out our favourite performance of the 24-year-old’s debut stage below:
3. BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사)
BLINKs rejoice! During the session, Tiffany further mentioned fan favourite BLACKPINK member Lisa (full name Lalisa Manoban) as one of her favourite to join in the line-up. According to Tiffany, the Thai bombshell’s spectacular stage charisma managed to capture her heart. “I love Lisa from BLACKPINK, like her performance,” said Tiffany.
SNSD x BLACKPINK collab? Any die-hard K-pop fan would kill for that!
Fingers crossed that the mega project plan will come to life someday. In the mean time, we came up with a list of singers that could become members of the female version of SuperM. Feel free to check them out here.

David Beckham might be a mega superstar and a football legend but that hasn’t stopped him from enjoying the smaller things in life, like a plate of Mee Goreng.
Well that’s exactly what happened last week when the ex-Manchester United player was spotted in a food centre in Singapore. His presence alone managed to send fans on frenzy.
The food centre that Beckham visited was the one in Tekka, which is part of the Island State’s Little India. In the video, he was seen chatting with Tommy Koh’s son, Aun Koh, or better known as Chubby Hubby, a famous Singaporean food blogger.
The 44-year-old might not be doing anything special but considering his Hollywood A-list status, it’s hard for everybody to not get excited or at least take a look in his direction when he’s around.
Here are some of the fans’ reaction from his visits:
I don’t get how people are chill af in Tekka w Beckham amongst them. I’d have started a Beckham chant, a fan riot and prolly gotten arrested for extreme hooliganism.
It wasn’t all fun and games for the football legend though because he was actually in Singapore for a business partnership between Avenue Singapore, Marquee Singapore and Marina Bay Sands.
The Brit even took to his official Instagram account to announce his arrival in Singapore all the while, praising Avenue Singapore, Marquee Singapore and Marina Bay Sands for taking “entertainment to a new heights.”
K-pop girl group Rainbow member Hyunyoung (현영) recently got caught up in a boob job rumour.
Yesterday (21st November), the 28-year-old posted a selfie photo of herself on Instagram. In the picture, Hyunyoung was seen wearing a cute yellow top that showed off her cleavage with a pair of sunglasses to complete the look.
The comments were filled with positive remarks from fans. However, one netizen came out of nowhere, demanding for Hyunyoung to wear less revealing clothes. “Is that your way of telling everyone that you got a boob job? By posting a photo that makes it obvious that you’ve went under the knife? If that’s the case, it’s better for you to cover up (your outfits),” the person commented.
In response, Hyunyoung then replied by writing, “I’m sorry, but if you didn’t write this comment to tell everyone that your brain is empty, I suggest you delete it”. Her brave step against the malicious troll has in turn received further praise from K-netizens.
In another news, Hyunyoung and also other 6 members of girl group Rainbow has just released a special single called “Aurora” to commemorate their 10th anniversary in the K-pop scene. For those who don’t know, Rainbow debuted back in November 2009 with the single “Gossip Girl”. They further found success with hit songs like “A”, “To Me” and “Black Swan” to name a few.
This will be their 1st ever comeback since their last comeback in over 3 years. Check out the music video below:
Malaysian songbird Shila Amzah (茜拉) made her appearance in a YouTube show called “#BegituBegini” with THR Gegar radio announcer DJ Nazz.
During the session, the 29-year-old was asked about the rumours circulating that she is among one of the richest female artiste in Malaysia.
“When you won the ‘Asian Wave’, you managed to bring home RM5 million. Word has it that your net worth has reached up to USD50 million or RM200 million back in 2016, which turned you into a millionaire in the entertainment scene. True or false?” DJ Nazz asked.
The “Tiada Dirimu” singer refused to give a straightforward answer when she replied, “I don’t think so. Since I’ve already counted all my assets, it didn’t reach to that point. So I would say the statement is neither true or false.”
Additionally, Shila (full name Nur Shahila Amir Hamzah) shared during the chat a piece of advice for up-and-coming singers. According to the mother-of-one, every artistes need to pay attention to what the contract has to offer as well as getting familiar with one’s self-pride.
“Actually, in the singing field, if you do it properly and you read your contract thoroughly and at the same time know your self-esteem, God willing you can make money out of it,” said the Kuala Lumpur-born starlet.
In case you missed it, Shila was also listed in the Top 100 Most Beautiful Faces In Asia for the year 2019, joining other international acts such as BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Angelababy and Red Velvet’s Irene to name a few.
Creating a fictional world can often be difficult. So in order to lighten the load, most writers tend to base their fictional world on somewhere real. We can see evidence of this in works like “Beauty And The Beast”, where it was based in France.
It’s not hard to imagine that the mysterious kingdom of Arendelle, found in the “Frozen” franchise, is also based on someplace real. So now the question lies, where exactly does the kingdom takes its inspiration from? If your guess is the Norwegian city of Arendal, then you are correct.
By now you can already see the similarities between the two’s name, one being Arendelle and the other Arendal. But the similarities doesn’t stop there, as the hotspot is also located at the shoreline. Both of them are known for being a port in their own region.
In addition, the Norwegian city used to be a popular hub for ship building, timber trade and mining, all of which we can see traces of in the Disney fictional kingdom. Architecturally, the building and castles of Arendelle were also heavily inspired by Norwegian culture with the Norway Stave Church being a major influence.
However, the look and feel of the kingdom was actually based on another Norwegian city named Bergen, which is in the more western part of Norway. Disney has even set up a tour guide to Norway in connection with “Frozen” where their website states that Bergen’s wharf, a UNESCO Heritage Site known as Bryggen, “is the specific inspiration for the setting of Arendelle.”
So with all this talk about the Kingdom of Arendelle, why not experience the setting for yourself once again in Disney’s “Frozen 2”, that is out in cinemas now. Check out the trailer for the Disney sensation here:
Goo Hara (구하라) was found dead in her home today (Sunday, 24th November), 6 months after she tried to commit suicide.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated that the former KARA band member was discovered in her home in Cheongdam neighborhood of Seoul at approximately 6pm.
According to reports, the 28-year-old K-pop star had been busy promoting her music in Japan in recent weeks. Hara even debuted a Japanese-language dance track titled “Midnight Queen” and recently toured several cities in Japan between 14th – 19th November.
The troubled singer wrote a public apology in May this year after she tried to take her own life. She has also been embroiled in a court case with her former flame Choi Jongbum (최종범). He was previously accused of blackmailing and physical assault.
Goo Hara cried for the passing of her friend Sulli and now she's taken the same path.
IU already lost Jonghyun and Sulli, now Hara? I hope you’re okay IU. This breaks my heart not only because she’s IU’s friend but Hara deserve more than this😭. Goo Hara you may rest in peace🥺 pic.twitter.com/tHAL5xjjog
Goo Hara and Sulli. two angels… I hope you are happy together there. I'm sorry… I want to apologize for those people who do not even tried to understand and love you. Rest In Peace. I love you… pic.twitter.com/yx0zVQ8rQd
There is just something special about going to the cinema. The atmosphere, the sound and the screen all combined into a wonderful experience.
However, that might not be enough in today’s competitive market. Well, mmCineplexes is set to change all that with their 20th cinema in Malaysia at MesaMall, Nilai.
Unlike their competitors, mmCineplexes is fully committed for a digital future. Movie goers can now purchase everything they would need via the cinema’s kiosk located at their lobby. This means that there won’t be any counters to purchase from, including the snacks at the snack bars.
Additionally, mmCineplexes also has an ingenious approach to designing their cinema halls with their seats having ample leg room to ease people going in and out between seat.
The extra space also means that people sitting on rows further from the screen would not have their view obstructed by people sitting in from of them. They achieve this by slouching the seats at an angle so that customers can have full view of the screen while ensuring maximum comfort.
Now for the important question, how much will it cost? Tickets are charged quite reasonably with RM13 on weekdays and RM16 on weekends for standard seats. Students will be able to enjoy RM11 ticket prices when they buy their movie tickets showing on weekdays before 6pm.
Kids on the other hand can get in for free if they are below 90cm while those 12 and under can still get their tickets at just RM10. There are also specials seats available in the cinema that will cost an extra RM1 or RM2, but will not exceed RM20.
The most interesting of all though, is that people can actually book the entire hall or duplex to themselves. This can either be for an event, to host parties or simply something to do among friends.
So, if you have that itch for the cinemas. Then head right over to mmCineplexes at MesaMall, Nilai. For a cinematic experience that is simply on another level.
Following the sudden news of former K-pop star Sulli’s passing, the Hallyu industry received another shocking news about the death of another K-pop star, Goo Hara.
As mentioned before, the former KARA member was discovered dead at her house in Cheongdamdong, Seoul. The police also have confirmed the reports.
Fellow celebrities and friends of the late Hara took to their social media accounts to pay their tribute and condolences upon receiving the unfortunate news. Some of the artistes include former After School member Kahi, rapper-entertainer DinDin, ex-“Show Me The Money” contestant Giriboy, actresses Han Ye Seul and Park Min Young as well as English pop star Anne-Marie.
However, the post by Park Min Young has been deleted by her at the time of writing (Monday, 25th November). Check out their reactions here:
In addition, the agency recently revealed that Hara’s funeral will be held in private, as requested by her family members. However, fans are allowed to bid their last farewell to the 28-year-old in a special memorial service prepared by them.
“In order for the family to hold a quiet funeral, they have prepared a separate memorial service for fans. It will be held in Hall 1 at the St. Mary’s Funeral Hall in Gangnam starting today (25th November) at 3pm to midnight on Wednesday (27th November),” said one of the representatives of the agency.
In a sea of superhero movies, the “Deadpool” franchise has been able to carve out an identity of its own. It has earned legion of fans and achieved box offices success in a market that many consider to be overly saturated.
So it stand to reason that many directors would be more than happy to direct a sequel right? Not according to “Deadpool” director, Tim Miller, who passed up the opportunity to direct the sequel because of a disagreement with film star Ryan Reynolds.
In a recent interview with KCRW’s The Business, the 49-year-old let loose about his decision to leave the franchise. He cited his rift with the Canadian actor about the flick’s creative control to be the issue.
During the interview the filmmaker said, “It became clear that Ryan (Reynolds) wanted to be in control of the franchise. You can work that way as a director, quite successfully, but I can’t. I don’t mind having a debate, but if I can’t win, I don’t want to play.”
He later added that, “I don’t think you can negotiate every creative decision, there’s too many to make. So Ryan’s the face of the franchise, and he was the most important component of that, by far. So if he decides he wants to control it, then he’s going to control it.”
On the other hand, the 43-year-old actor was also asked about the director departure before, with him hinted that the two have struggled with creative differences. This resulted in another director, David Leitch who did “John Wick”, to take up the helm for the sequel.
Recently, the director just finished up directing a big name franchise film in “Terminator: Dark Fate”. He revealed that he also struggled creatively with producer James Cameron, stating in a conversation with The Business, that he would never work with 65-year-old director again.
It seems that Super Junior member Heechul (김희철) has unfollowed everyone on his Instagram.
Not only that, he also has set his Instagram on private mode, which in turn has raised the public’s concern towards him.
Word has it that shortly after Goo Hara (구하라)’s shocking death reports came out yesterday (Sunday, 24th November), he has not upload anything on social media to address the unfortunate news.
For those who don’t know, the 36-year-old is known to be very close with the former KARA member, appearing in several shows like “Knowing Brothers” and “A Style For You”. The sudden reports of her death might have impacted him.
As mentioned above, K-fans have expressed their worry towards the “Bonamana” hit maker’s current condition. Not only that, they have also pointed out on how tough for Heechul to accept the fact that 2 of his close sisters in the Hallyu scene – Goo Hara and Sulli – have left him for good.
As a response to that, most of E.L.Fs (Super Junior stans) as well as other K-pop fans took to Twitter to send their endless love and support to Heechul. Feel free to see their tweets here:
Heechul private his account and unfollow all his following. Please respect him guys and pray to give him strength 🙏 pic.twitter.com/5uE4w40zvQ
Kim Heechul with his angels.Heechul is also a friend of Hara.I started watching them in “A style for you”.I got to know more Hara there.Still can’t believe that Goo Hara passed away.Hope Heechul is okay even though I know it’s hard for him.Condolence to the fam, friends and fans. pic.twitter.com/iXNNfHzifH
it’s okay heechul, you can get angry and cry as much as you want. finding out two of your bestfriends (as little sisters) passed away less than 2 months is never easy. sulli and goo hara deserve a throne between the angels. they’re good people. pic.twitter.com/xhxHJTzTOe
We hope fans will respect Heechul’s decision to take his time off online. Instead, let’s give our full support to the idol in any of his future decisions.
“Vagabond” (배가본드) concluded on a high note with its highest ratings over the weekend.
Nielsen Korea reported that the latest episodes of SBS/Netflix drama scored 11.7% and 13% respectively. However, the cliffhanger at the end left many K-drama fans fuming and disappointed.
How can you call that an ending???
Did you just stress us out, excite us, amaze us and gave us a roller coaster ride for 16 episodes just to end it like that??????? Omygosh. We, Vagabond fans needs a Season 2!!! Netflix, please make it happen!!!!!!! 😭 Jebal!!!!!#Vagabondpic.twitter.com/RgzBIYWy3W
Cha Dal-Gun was saved at the last minute after he was almost burnt alive. Following several hardships, he becomes a mercenary. Meanwhile, his lover Go Hae-Ri (who believes him to be dead) joins the lobbyist thanks to some assistance from Jessica Lee.
Towards the end, we see Dal-Gun waiting in the desert of Kyria for his target. He is stunned upon finding out that his victim is Hae-Ri. Just as his fellow mercenary prepares to kill her, Dal-Gun switches his aim and ends the mercenary’s life instead. If you recall, this dessert scene was shown during the very 1st episode.
Viewers were left hanging as the finale concluded. Did Dal-Gun even find out about the truth behind the crash? Is Hae-Ri still in the dark about Dal-Gun’s existence? What was the point of bringing audiences on an emotional roller coaster ride only to end on a cliff hanger?
What’s even shocking is the fact that “Vagabond” season 2 isn’t set in stone yet. “It was planned and produced with a 2nd season in mind. However, season 2 has not been confirmed, and it’s currently being reviewed. We are reviewing the schedules of the actors, writers, and directors,” a rep was quoted as saying.
Even Lee Seung Gi (이승기) isn’t sure about his future as Dal-Gun and with “Vagabond”. “I am not sure whether we continue this journey or not, but I am just so happy to end this year with your warm hearts,” the 32-year-old South Korean star wrote on his Instagram.
In speaking with OSEN, production company Celltrion Entertainment revealed, “The production period was very long, so everyone’s feeling both relieved and sad. The production process took 11 months, and if you count the planning period, it’s a lot longer than that.”
“The lead actors were tied to the project for 11 months. During the 40 days or so spent filming overseas, they all stayed together well. It was fun because no one was unsociable and everyone filmed harmoniously. I’m thankful to all of the staff members and actors,” the insider added.
As with every K-drama finale, the cast are often asked to pick their favourite scene of the series. For Lee Seung Gi, who played Cha Dal-Gun, it was “the final chase scene in the first episode. It shows clearly that the genre of the drama is a spy action thriller, and it makes you curious about what will happen next. There were many interesting things compressed into that one scene.”
“I’m proud that many people I know told me that they enjoyed the show. I’d like to thank director Yoo In Shik, cinematographer Lee Gil Bok, screenwriters Jang Young Chul and Jung Kyung Soon, my senior and junior actors, and the stunt team who made Cha Dal Gun shine. There were many dangerous action scenes, but no one was hurt and the drama ended safely. I think that is because of the staff members who worked quietly behind the scenes. Thank you to the viewers as well. I will work hard to return with an even better image next time,” the handsome hunk added.
Bae Suzy, who plays Go Hae Ri, a black-ops agent for the National Intelligence Service, shared, “I remember the scene in which the bereaved families used their bodies to protect Go Hae Ri, Cha Dal Gun, and Kim Woo Gi as they entered the courtroom. When I read the script, I cried during that scene. I think that scene contains the healing message of ‘Vagabond’.”
The Miss A group member continued, “There were many heartwarming moments while filming ‘Vagabond.’ I was happy to be working with such amazing seniors and staff members. Because I learned a lot, I will remember this set for a long time.”
Shin Sung Rok (Ki Tae Woong) picked the huge shoot-out in Morocco: “The cars were flipping over, there was gunfire everywhere, bombs were going off. It’s true there was a lot of risk, but there aren’t many opportunities to film such a big scene like that, so it was a new experience for me. I also remember it because Ki Tae Woong, who is normally calm, gets angry and goes on the offensive.”
Moon Jung Hee (Jessica Lee): “I’d pick Jessica Lee and Oh Sang Mi’s ‘container intimidation’ scene. Jessica Lee appeared to be a friendly businesswoman, but she went through water and fire in order to achieve her goals. It was a scene in which she really transformed into a femme fatale who would threaten others and broker risky deals.”
Tesla is a brand that has been making waves in the automotive industry for awhile now, with their visionary leader Elon Musk. During a vehicle unveil last week, the company left much to be desired with things not going according to plans.
In the unveil, the electric car maker finally introduced their long awaited electric pickup truck named, Cybertruck. While the design certainly surprised a number of fans, it was the Truck’s endurance test that really made headlines.
In the test, Musk first asked a staff member to try and dent the body of the truck with a sledgehammer. The staff gave a few hefty swing but ultimately made nary a dent on the new truck. But when it came time to test the endurance of the metal glass, who he said can stop a 9mm bullet from a handgun, with a metal ball, the window cracked.
This left the billionaire standing on stage, embarrassed. The staff member then tried again at another window, and again he managed another crack. Even though the glass did not break, the shattered looks on it’s surface was definitely a nightmare for the company’s owner who tried to salvage the situation, “It didn’t go through, that’s the plus side.”
The incident quickly made headlines, spreading the name of the truck far and wide, which according to netizens, was the idea after all. Many people believe that the incident in question was actually a marketing gimmick that had news agencies worldwide giving it free publicity. By the looks of things, it worked, regardless if it was intentionally or not.
Despite the incident, the truck has been positively received. This ultimately led to orders comes flowing in, with it now reaching 2 hundred thousand orders with 80% of them avoiding the base model. In addition, it was also revealed by the technology entrepreneur that they actually tested the windows beforehand in a more controlled environment.
Franz throws steel ball at Cybertruck window right before launch. Guess we have some improvements to make before production haha. pic.twitter.com/eB0o4tlPoz
Unfortunately, despite the warm reception at the end, investors were still unhappy with how the launch have went. This resulted in the stock price of the company going down by 6% and a drop in Musk personal net worth of $746m in a single day, according to Forbes.
No need to feel too bad though, as the inventor is still worth a comfortable $20B and will probably rise again if the sales of the truck take off.
In case you missed it, renowned local skateboarder Pa’din Musa debuted his specially-designed Vans sneakers made out of traditional woven mat in conjunction with the Vans Checkerboard Day celebration held last Thursday (21st November).

Telegram founder, Pavel Durov, has taken aim at popular messaging app, WhatsApp. He’s been telling people to delete the application, citing vulnerability concerns and privacy issues that can be found in the system.
The statement came just days after a security issue was discovered within the system in India. This allowed hackers to access people’s personal messages when they open a video file within the app. WhatsApp later urged users to update to the latest version to fix the issue.
In a lengthy post on his Telegram channel, the Russian has drawn attention to WhatsApp parent company Facebook, noting how the app is actually a “Trojan Horse” used to spy on their users.
In the post he wrote, “WhatsApp doesn’t only fail to protect your WhatsApp messages – this app is being consistently used as a Trojan horse to spy on your non-WhatsApp photos and messages. Why would they do it? Facebook has been part of surveillance programs long before it acquired WhatsApp.”
He also directed focus on the security side of things using the video file hacking issue in India as an example. While Facebook attempted to play down the situation, Durov argued that that this is not the first time the app has been exploited in such a manner.
He said that, “a security vulnerability of this magnitude is bound to have been exploited – just like the previous WhatsApp backdoor had been used against human rights activists and journalists naïve enough to be WhatsApp users.”
It should be noted that WhatsApp is a direct competitor to Telegram and this sort of public action might be fuelled by an incentive from its founder to push for their own agenda. But for now, users are advised to update their app to the latest versions and avoid opening messages and files from anonymous senders.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Department has finally released an official statement to address the news of singer-actress Goo Hara’s sudden passing.
According to police officials, they have found a pessimistic memo written by the former KARA member herself.
“There was a hand-written note found on a table in her living room,” said Commissioner Lee Yong Pyo, before adding, “The note was discovered by Goo Hara’s housekeeper at around 6pm yesterday (6pm) Based on an on-site inspection and testimony from her family, there are no suspicions of foul play involved.”
Regarding the possibility of carrying out an autopsy, Commissioner Lee further added, “There is nothing decided yet. Her time of death is estimated to be after that.”

SK Blue House petition. It’s for setting new punishment standards for sexual assault. It mentions the mental anguish/stress Goo Hara had from her ex threatening to release sex tape. All of this must be stopped. Women need to demand better. #최종범_처벌 = punish Hara’s ex. Use HT. https://t.co/fTyPc0sei4
Uh oh, it looks like Jordan Chan Siu-Chun (陳小春) might have found himself in hot water.
The Hong Kong actor and singer could be put behind bars after posting a snapshot of his ballot paper for Hong Kong’s district council elections on Sunday (24th November).
Hong Kong daily Ming Pao reported that the 52-year-old superstar had uploaded the picture on Weibo with the hashtagged captions “Be an upright Hong Kong citizen” and “Keep it up Hong Kong”.
According to the Electoral Affairs Commission (Electoral Procedure) (District Council) Regulation, voters who post photo, audio or video on election day are punishable by law and can face 6 months in jail for doing so.
Jordan deleted the snapshot 30 minutes later and uploaded another picture instead. The pro-China artiste wrote, “I have done my duty as a Hong Kong citizen.” Many netizens have criticised him for breaking the law and are calling for action to be taken.
