Things aren’t looking good for Nicholas Tse (谢霆锋) and his family.

After learning that the 39-year-old actor hasn’t had contact with his sister Jennifer Tse for over a year, his eldest son revealed that he and his brother have drifted apart from Nicholas.

As you may know, Nicholas and Cecilia Cheung (张柏芝) – who have been divorced for 8 years now – have 2 sons together, Lucas (谢振轩), 12, and Quintus (谢振南), 9. Word on a street has it that Lucas recently gave a statement about their father to the press.

In interview, the young boy said that the brothers rarely get to see Nicholas because of his work commitments and busy schedule. “When I’m sick or my brother has fever, only mom is with us. I don’t regret that mom and dad separated, because he’s not good enough for mom,” Lucas was quoted as saying.

The Hong Kong entertainer’s manager Mani Fok (霍汶希) has since come forth to deny the allegations that made headlines on numerous Chinese publications. The full statement issued by Nicholas via his management company EEG reads:

“Our company recently found a number of media/platforms circulating reports that the eldest son of our artiste, Mr. Nicholas Tse, commented on their relationship. For commercial purposes, deceitful headlines and false reports were used to mislead the public and readers.

“Our company and our artiste (Nicholas) pay great attention to this matter. We hereby solemnly declare: Our artiste has a good relationship with his children and they get along well with each other. These misleading and or false reports are causing harmful, insulting, and inflammatory remarks to grow online. It is affecting the children and causing serious problems. Our artiste reiterates that he will use all methods to protect his children and avoid unnecessary impact on his children. He will not endure any individual, organisation, and or media or platform to use his children to drum up false news. For the sake of the children, we hope the media will stop disrupting their lives with misleading and or false reports. It will not only affect the children but also bring about serious inconvenience.

“These harmful reports have not only misled the public and readers, but they have also caused serious damage and adverse effects on the rights and reputation of our company and our artiste. This has crossed our artiste’s bottom line, caused damage to his positive image, and seriously affected his standing in society. Our company urges the public and readers to recognise the facts and avoid misleading content.

“Our company and our artiste hereby strongly condemn the above misconduct, and urge relevant individuals, organisations, and/or media/platform to immediately stop, or else our company and our artiste will use legal means to pursue the matter.”

The final trailer of the highly anticipated third instalment of the new “Star Wars” has been released. This will mark the end of the “Star Wars” Skywalker trilogy that debuted back in 2015.

Director J.J Abrams has masterfully crafted the final trailer with clips of the movie that indicates this film is going to be an emotional ride. Here are 10 highlights from the new “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” trailer that intrigued us:

1. Rey Is Still Training

Continuing the theme set by previous trailers, it shows that Rey is still training to become a full fledge Jedi, alone in a jungle planet. The opening scene shows her running, dropping a helmet and blocking a drone’s attack. This suggests that either it’s part of the training section or that her training got cut short.

2. The Emperor’s Throne

The trailer also gave us a glimpse on the throne of Emperor Palpatine. The shot was made even eerier with a haunting voice over from Ian McDiarmid, who voices Palpatine. We can hear Palpatine uttering “long have I waited” and about how his plan is coming together.

3. The Millennium Falcon

It seems appropriate with the shot of resistance standing together going to war is fill with different and varied kind of ships. If we still remember from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, a vast amount of the resistance were destroyed and killed by the First order. So the resistance might have send operative across the galaxies to create a network of resistance cells which in turn explains the vast difference in ship design in this shot.

4. Babu Frik

The trailer is also an introduction to a new character in an already vast cast, Babu Frik. Babu Frik in the “Star Wars” is a droidsmith. In the trailer, we can see him conducting an unknown operation on C-3PO. Babu, was first shown as a toy in a Triple Force Friday live stream where his size and adorableness quickly won fans over.

5. C-3PO’s Sacrifice

The trailer has also tease the death of a beloved character, C-3PO. The lost of the original character has been hinted at by a previous trailers, where the eyes of C-3PO turns red (an indication a bot has been hacked). The bot sacrifice is then enforced by the line, “Taking one last look sir, at my friends” uttered by C-3PO at the end of the scene as he takes a look at Rey and the others in the ship.

6. Princess Leia And Rey Embrace

Carrie Fisher certainly left us too soon, as her portrayal of Princess Leia has certainly carved her name in history as a cinematic icon. Lucasfilm has previously used unused footages of Fisher to fill the gaps in “The Last Jedi”. It showed how integral her character has been for the series, so it seems only fitting that the end of her character’s story would be included for this movie.

7. Finn On The Death Star

Previously we only know of Rey, Kylo-Ren and very likely Emperor Palpatine to be in the Death Star remains. But this new shot from the trailer shows Finn calling out to somebody (most likely Rey). Though the lack of shots of Finn in the Death Star have left many in doubt of the importance of the character in the scene.

8. Rey And Kylo Ren Working Together On Destroying Vader’s Mask

Though there are several scenes showing the two fighting each other throughout the trailer, this part (pictured above) shows the two actually working together to destroy Darth Vader’s mask. As to what this might entails, fans think that Kylo Ren will eventually turn and see the light. Or is it just another illusion by J.J. Abrams?

9. Rey Confront The Emperor

Undoubtedly the most chilling scene of the trailer is when Rey comes face-to-face with the emperor himself. There have been speculations over how the Sith Lord will arrive in the movie, as some theories have suggested that Palpatine would have come back in the form of a spirit like Yoda. But the trailer did avoid showing the emperor’s face during the whole scene, which would leave some doubt over the black figure we see in the scene (who may or may not be Palpatine).

10. “The Force Will Be With You – Always”

The trailer utters the iconic line of  “The Force Will Be With You – Always“. This will surely bring a sense of closure to fans of the series as the saga ends this coming December.

Apparently BIGBANG (빅뱅) fans will not get the chance to welcome their idols back from the army.

Recently, YG Entertainment came out with a statement asking fans not to visit 3 of the members – G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung for their upcoming military discharges.

The official statement was posted on the group’s official website today (Wednesday, 23rd October) that reads:

“Hello, this is YG Entertainment. This is a notice regarding the discharges of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung in October and November.

The military bases where G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are currently serving are in the border territory where the African swine fever virus has been detected. In order to prevent further spread of the virus, the quarantine system is being strengthened. And it’s recommended for everyone to refrain from visiting the area.

Civil authorities have also requested extra caution. Therefore, we ask fans to not visit the BIGBANG members’ military discharging sites in order to prevent the spread of the virus and also to ensure fans’ safety. We thank V.I.Ps who have been waiting for the discharges of the 3 members of the group.”

For the uninitiated, G-Dragon enlisted in the military back in February 2018, followed by fellow members Taeyang and Daesung in March 2018.

Pristin stans are getting some good news today!

It’s been confirmed that 4 members from the now-disbanded girl group – Eunwoo, Roa, Yuha and Rena – will be re-debuting in a new group.

On 18th October (Friday), it was reported that the 4 girls have signed an exclusive contract with AlSeulBit and are “preparing to debut again”, as reported by Soompi. In addition, it was revealed that they have finished filming their music video as well as photo shoot for the album jacket.

Aside from that, the label also spilled more details on the upcoming girl group; namely the group name and also their debut month. Named HINAPIA, the 5-member girl group consists of the 4 former PRISTIN members as well as a 5th member whose the identity remains hidden for now.

“We have chosen the name HINAPIA for our 1st girl group. HINAPIA will debut in November with Minkyung (Roa), Kyungwon (Yuha), Yebin (Rena), Eunwoo, and a soon-to-be-revealed fifth member. As an agency, we will do our best to make sure the members have a successful debut. Please watch over them with love,” said a representative from the agency.

According to Koreaboo, the name HINAPIA symbolises the members’ wish to express their aspirations to deliver hope to the public with various attractions. Check out their official group logo here, ahead of their debut next month:

As mentioned earlier, all the 4 female idols debuted as a members of Pristin under Pledis Entertainment along with Zhou Jieqiong (Kyulkyung), Im Nayoung, Kyla, Xiyeon, Seungyeon and Yehana.

They made their official debut on February 2017. However, after almost 2 years of unscheduled activities as a whole group, it was announced on 24th May this year that the group disbanded.

We’ll definitely look forward to what Eunwoo, Roa, Yuha and Rena have to offer for their upcoming activities as members of HINAPIA.

Namewee (黃明志) is set to end 2019 with a bang and he’s inviting all his fans to join him for his “4896-Final Call World Tour” (举办世界巡演).

After some hiccups, the 36-year-old rapper made the happy announcement on Facebook declaring that “the government (has finally) approved my concert”. Concert details such as seating plan, venue, and ticket prices were also unveiled by the concert organiser.

According to the official press release, “4896” is named after a Hokkien slang which means “Super Powerful”. If that’s any indication on what’s to come, we’re super excited. Fans can expect “a wide range of quirky, humorous yet entertaining elements” as well as “bold coupling of melodic treats and visual feasts delivered by renowned musicians”.

In staying true to his Malaysian roots, Namewee will also be performing a medley of songs in different languages with diverse performing styles. Plus, a few guest performers (their identity haven’t been revealed yet) will be making a cameo. On top of that, everyone will be able to participate in the anticipated New Year countdown together.

A film director from Hollywood by the name of Gus Van Sant has Jimin (박지민) on his radar.

In a newly-published interview with British magazine i-D, the filmmaker was asked to single one actor in the entertainment industry that he wishes to work with. Instead of giving an actor, he opted for the BTS member instead.

“He’s not really an actor, but sometimes I see people that have a kind of peaceful thing about them that I like, and right now that person would be Jimin from BTS. I’d love to photograph him too, but maybe that’s something for the future?” he was quoted as saying.

For those that don’t know, Gus Van Sant has churned out a bunch of award-winning films as well as independent movies. Some of them include “Good Will Hunting” , “Elephant”, and “Milk”. He has even directed music videos for iconic artists such as David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Elton John.

It wasn’t too long ago when ARMYs were campaigning for Jimin to play Prince Eric in “The Little Mermaid” live-action remake.

Just when everyone believed the Syed Saddiq-Cleopatra drama is over, something else occurs.

Despite the official statement by the Minister of Youth and Sports himself, it looks like things are getting out of control. In this case, a man who claims to be Cleopatra’s ex-husband has decided to give his two cents on the matter.

Recently, Nasir Yaacob took to the social media to address the rumour surrounding his former beau. In the post, he assures everyone that Cleopatra (real name Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharuddin) is a true woman. He further added that the woman is indeed the mother of his 2 children.

The entrepreneur also asked everyone to stop spreading rumours involving his ex-wife. He added that it’s not his place to criticise her choice of outfits since they have already separated. “Let her be with the glamour world that she’s in now, I’m no longer her husband,” Nasir wrote in the lengthy post.

In the same Facebook update, he also begged netizens to pray for the best instead of coming out with words of insults and slanders towards Cleopatra. “You should beg for her forgiveness because the sin of slander is heavier than of a murder,” shared Nasir.

Additionally, Cleopatra also uploaded a new post on social media in hopes to curb the rumours from getting out of hand. In her recent update on Instagram, she posted a throwback picture of herself – heavily pregnant – lying on a hospital bed.

“My labour 2018 to my princess @astreanova @gleneagleskl,” she wrote in her caption. Apparently, the Chinese-Dutch beauty is indeed the mother of 2 children – a son named Andromeda and a daughter named Astreanova.

According to MMO, the couple tied the knot back in September 2016. However, their marriage didn’t last long when the 2 decided to call it quits.

This time next year, we could very well be up in Resorts World Genting enjoying the long-awaited outdoor theme park.

As per RHB Investment Bank Bhd, Genting Malaysia Bhd has informed that the attraction is expected to open in Q3 2020. After many delays, it looks like things are finally moving along on the right track.

Although nothing has been confirmed in regards to ticket pricing, Genting Malaysia shared that the theme park will most probably introduced various types of tickets such as annual, day, priority and VIP tour passes.

“Dynamic pricing strategy is likely to be adopted, such that it will have different pricing for different seasons (peak, off-peak). No final ticket price was guided, but we gather that it should be in line with other regional theme parks (Universal Studios Singapore day pass is RM242/SGD79).

“Management is confident that the OTP will open by 3Q20 (in line with our assumption) and stated that it is currently restarting the process that was stopped last year. However, judging from the stage of completion and aggressive staff hiring in the past few months, we do not discount the possibility of an earlier opening,” the analysts from RHB said.

When the 26-acre theme park opens, 20 out of the 25 rides are expected to be operating. The attraction site will also house 11 food kiosks and 7 restaurants from popular food franchises.

During his recent concert gig in the US, one particular fan managed to catch Brian (real name Brian Imanuel Soewarno)’s attention. Pretty lucky, right?

The Jakarta-born rapper then posted the picture of the female fan – who was standing in the front row – on his Instagram Story. “Whoever this was, you were very cute & if you’re out there reading this, just wanted to let you know. LMAOOOO,” wrote Brian. He further clarified that he is indeed developing a crush towards the fan.

In addition, the 20-year-old took to Twitter and commented that he was seeking out her social media username. On the same day itself (Sunday, 20th October), he excitedly announced that he had managed to contact his new ‘crush’ through Instagram.

The new “Joker” movie from DC Films have been a huge success. The film opened to an incredible $98.2 million during the weekend which beat out the Sony/Marvel film “Venom”, to become the biggest October debut ever.

“Joker” also earned critical praises from fans and critics alike, though some criticise the violent nature depicted, many have called it Oscar-worthy. But little does everyone know that Joaquin Phoenix’s favourite scene didn’t make the final cut in “Joker”.

During an interview with Collider, the “Joker” actor let loose about a scene that was cut from the film. “There was a scene that, that during the shoot we thought was one of the best scenes and we loved his behaviour in the scene, and I’d always really liked the scene. But Todd told me and said, ‘We’re cutting that scene out’.”. 

As heartbroken as Phoenix is about the deleted scene, he later agreed with the director on the decision, “then of course I saw it, and it was very obvious. It has to go.”

He would later add in the same interview, “It actually doesn’t work. That’s just what’s so cool about movies, right? You can have a great scene, it’s something that makes sense, but the movie is the collection of all of these scenes and they have to work together to tell the story, and it actually made that whole sequence so smooth.”

Beside the actor, director Todd Phillips also gave his thoughts on the whole idea of cut scenes. “Deleted scenes are deleted for a reason. I have a thing against extended cuts and I kind of hate deleted scenes. The movie that exists is exactly the movie we want it to be.” he said in the interview.

But the director did admit that the scene Phoenix mentioned was one of the last scene he cut. The “Hangover” director also told us what the scene in question was. “It was basically a scene between him and Randall — Randall’s the guy he kills with the scissors — and it was a scene with them on the stairwell leading up to the Ha-Ha’s offices,” he said before adding, “There was a scene right after he paints the sign”. 

The “Joker” movie is expected to be able to make another $450 million for an expected total of $900million. This will make the “Joker” the highest rated R-rated movies of all time and will beat out both “Deadpool” films.

Former K-Pop star Jung Ah (정아) recently welcomed her first newborn child with her husband, basketball player Jung Chang Young (정창영).

The ex-After School member took to her Instagram to share with her fans the good news that she had safely delivered her first child on 12th October (Saturday).

“I have safely delivered my baby through natural childbirth. It was extremely difficult, but I was truly overwhelmed with joy the moment I saw our child,” the 36-year-old wrote, before adding, “To be honest, I still can’t believe that our child was born. And because he is so small, everything still feels blurry to me.”

In addition, Jung Ah posted a few pictures of her newborn son with her beau, expressing gratitude with the birth of their 1st ever baby, “After giving birth to a child, I spent some time looking back at my past self. I will live my life feeling more grateful in the future.”

Earlier this afternoon (Thursday, 24th October), Ayrton Lim (林登) was found dead in his living room at Tabuan Laru, Kuching.

The Borneo Post reported that the 19-year-old male athlete had recently returned home after undergoing a period of training in Singapore.

The publication wrote that it was Ayrton’s mum who discovered his body after picking his younger sibling up from school. Although an ambulance had rushed to the scene, the young teen was “declared dead at the scene by medical personnel”.

It was not revealed how he died as his body was delivered to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH)’s morgue. However, a quick look into his Instagram story showed a cryptic message.

“It has been a wonderful 19 years and I’m grateful if you’re part of it… Thank you,” the Malaysian swimmer wrote. Many have offered their condolences with the assumption that he committed suicide.

Yup, they did it. The Coldplay marketing team have found themselves a creative and unique way of advertising the band’s new album by posting the entire track list in our local newspapers – The Star, The Sun and Sin Chew Daily.

It’s not only in Malaysia however, as it has been happening all over the world with multiple people reporting the same phenomenon happening to their local newspapers. The ads in question feature no coloured decoration; just a classy plain black and white text that shows all the tracks from the upcoming album, titled “Everyday Life”.

The album was initially announced earlier this week, when the band mailed typed notes to 500 Coldplay fan all over the world. In the letter, they wished the receiver well and then announced their new upcoming album as well as the release date, with them also hand-signed each letter at each corner.

According to Netflix, Malaysia will be the first to receive the mobile plan as the other notable Asian country to receive a similar plan is India. The price of the new plan will be set at RM17/month, and will contain similar benefits of the higher tiers subscription but with a few changes.

The difference are that, users of the new plan will not be able to mirror or cast their shows to other devices, and will have a maximum resolution of 540p for their shows, for both streaming and downloads.

Based on the photos above, the 27-year-old celebrity was seen wearing a name pendant with her real name ‘Fatimah’ spelled in Jawi (Arabic) letters. As a result, the comments section has been flooded with mixed reaction among cybernauts.

A number of local fans called her out for being inappropriate and insensitive for wearing the locket despite the fact that she is not covering her hair in addition to wearing a revealing dress. In addition, some pointed out that her action might lead to misunderstandings, since the Arabic letters are considered holy among Muslims.

Selena Gomez is currently dominating the music charts with her newly-released singles, “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now”.

Both songs are believed to be about former flame Justin Bieber. The 27-year-old singer just did an interview yesterday (Thursday, 24th October) where she talked about recovering from the public breakup.

It’s probably the first time Gomez explicitly talked about what went on behind close doors. In what feels like a Dear Diary entry on “Lose You to Love Me”, she sings, “You promised the world and I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest / And you let it burn”.

However, the lyrics that has been getting the most attention is this part: “In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing, yeah”. It’s a straight forward reflection of an ex moving on from her so quickly.

If you recall, Gomez and Bieber ended things back in March/April 2018. Bieber began dating Hailey Baldwin in June 2018, which is roughly 2 months later. They later got married in September. Gomez and Seacrest didn’t dropped any names but they didn’t need to.

“(My cohost Tanya Rad and I) think that it’s worse, the two months lyric that you have in there…That part of us, would be worse than going through a breakup. Having to see someone move on so fast,” Seacrest commented.

“Yeah, I think you know, I’m really grateful too because I’ve actually experienced that a million times before,” she said. “And that’s the unfortunate part about what I do. So it’s all very real to me, and I’m sure it’s just entertainment for other people, but I just—I think I had become numb to it, and it would be stupid of me if I didn’t acknowledge what I had felt because it would be inauthentic, and that’s everything I claim to be and do (being authentic).

Gomez continued, “I know there are thousands of people, men and women, who have felt this feeling, and it’s extremely real, and on top of the social media and everything, it doesn’t matter if you’re in my position or if you’re in someone’s because you’re always going to somehow find this negative space. It’s just that’s what—that’s why I have to be careful, and I just have to take steps back and just focus on what I’m doing and no one else.”

Baldwin received backlash from Selenators after she shared a snippet of the song “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker on her Instagram Story. She later denied that it was directed at Gomez, saying it was mere coincidence.

Gomez decided to take the high road by addressing the fans on her IG Live. “I am so grateful for the response of the song. However, I will never stand for women tearing other women down. So please be kind to everyone… Please be kind, I don’t like seeing people being disrespectful or rude to other people, so please don’t do that,” she said.

Seacrest then put her on the spotlight by asking how she’s been handling negative criticism with her honesty. (Hint hint: some say it may be a reference to the new Mrs Bieber.) Selena Gomez made it clear that she has processed the breakup fully.

“I don’t know, Ryan… I think that’s why I’ve waited this long to kind of express what I felt. Because I don’t know. I think that’s the whole point. I’m always going to be honest with people, I’ve never not been. I might not be overly chatty about it all the time, but this is where I’m able to release it. This is where it turns into art,” the pop star said.

In regards to people’s reaction, she said, “It actually shocks me. Some of the reaction I feel like shocks me in general because I’ve dealt with this for years now. Because everyone writes about something they’ve felt. Everyone. And the biggest topic is love. And in a way it’s not something negative, it’s actually something positive that I was able to experience that, as beautiful and ugly as it was. I think it’s beautiful that I’ve been able to turn this into a new chapter.”

In addition to her pop ballad, Selena Gomez also dropped the music video for “Look At Her Now”. She says that the song is her going into bigger and better things.

Angelina Jolie, 44, has no plans on letting Brad Pitt, 55, get joint custody on their kids, as she is reportedly fine with where things stand right now.

The once perfect marriage, was well and truly shattered with the couple announcing their split back in 2016. What then followed were a series of legal battles between the pair, that lasted for years. The most contested of which, was the custody battle for their 6 children.

The custody battles drag on for nearly 2 years, until the former flames ultimately decided on a temporary custody deal in 2018. The deal meant that the “Fury” actor had less than 50 percent custody of his children, but will receive regular weekly visiting hours.

According to Hollywood Life, a source familiar to Jolie told them: “They have a complicated arrangement at present, but she has primary custody with Brad getting tons of visitation as instructed by a judge the last time they went to court”. 

The sourced then continued, “No, she has no plans to offer him joint custody” with Jolie seemingly content with the current arrangement, and planned to keep it this way, “unless she’s ordered to do so by the judge.”

The insider added that, “She has no issues with Brad spending time with the kids and she is being sure to follow all visitation guidelines set down by the courts, but she doesn’t want to give up primary custody”. The person also did clarify that the “Maleficent” actress will concede custody of the children if ordered to do so.

The source later added, “When they’re all in town (in Los Angeles), the kids have their visits with their dad at his home in Los Feliz several times a week. They travel back and forth with their bodyguards and drivers and Angelina doesn’t go along for the hand off. It is very well coordinated and drama free.”

Together, Jolie and Pitt have 6 children Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, Knox, 11, and Vivienne, 11, with the eldest Maddox, 18, currently studying in South Korea.

Robert Pattinson has been enjoying talking about his sexual escapades.

The 33-year-old actor his latest psychological thriller, “The Lighthouse”. One particular scene has been making headlines this week. Spoiler: R. Patts masturbates in a shed.

Not only did Pattinson performed the “ferocious masturbation scene” (his words, not ours) multiple times, it took place on the first day of filming. Whether that ended up being a good icebreaker is up in the air, but it certainly took director Robert Eggers by surprised.

In separate interview with Variety, Pattinson talked about noticing a pattern emerging from his movies. “I keep masturbating. In the last three or four movies, I’ve got a masturbation scene. Royal Princess Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah Athiyatullah’s love towards McDonald’s is undeniable, especially its signature Double Cheeseburger.

Recently, Tengku Jihan posted a picture of a missing beef patty on her cheeseburger on her Twitter account. She jokingly tweeted, “When you ordered a cheeseburger and you literally just get the bun and cheese.” As a result, the tweet has received an uproar among local internet users – bashing the fast food chain’s staffs for their carelessness.

As a respond to the backlash, Tengku Jihan once again took to her Twitter to address the whole situation. “Everyone please don’t get mad at McDonald’s. It was a harmless mistake. Even though they gave me only the buns and cheese but I still managed to finish the burger,” the Royal Princess wrote. She further clarified that McDonald’s has also apologise to her.

In addition, the whole incident was also acknowledged by her mother, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah. According to Tunku Azizah, Tengku Jihan loves McDonald’s so much that she will order the food quite frequently.

Not only that, she even gave Tengku Jihan the nickname “McJihan” due to her constant cravings towards the popular fast food chain. Tunku Azizah also jokingly shared to her Twitter followers her plans to open a brand new fast food restaurant that sells the “McJihan Burger”.
