Director Lee Na-jeong had 3 things in mind when filming “Love Alarm” – she wanted it to be more dynamic, gritty, and realistic. “Chon Kye-young’s webtoon wasn’t all simply light and fun, but it also had depth in terms of its exploration of love,” she said.

Hype was fortunate enough to attend the “Love Alarm” press conference in Seoul earlier this week. During the session, we were given a better insight into how the main 3 leads – Kim So-hyun (김소현), Jung Ga-ram (정가람) and Song Kang (송강) – approach their respective roles.

For the uninitiated, here’s a brief intro about “Love Alarm” by So-hyun:

“‘Love Alarm’ features an app called Love Alarm, which rings when someone who has a
crush on you is within a 10-meter radius. ‘Love Alarm’ is a Netflix original series about
Jojo, Hye-young, and Sun-oh building their complicated relationship through this app and the series follows and explores the changing emotions of these characters and budding
romances.”

Kim Jojo

“Jojo lives with her aunt after going through a tough childhood due to a tragic event. Jojo perfectly hides her painful past and tries to have a positive attitude towards life. But her life is stirred by the introduction of Love Alarm and Sun-oh’s presence. Jojo and Sun-oh start their first romance after learning about each other’s feelings through the app in a world where people can’t hide their feelings.”

So-hyun on her character: “Jojo has been through a lot and is in a very tough and difficult situation, but never loses her positivity and confidence inside. That made me feel quite sympathetic for her, but she’s someone who you feel more interested in and curious about the more you see her.”

Lee Hye-young

“Son of the helper for Sun-oh’s family, Hye-young is Sun-oh’s best friend. He grew up in a family of modest means, but he also grew up with a loving and caring mother, which is why he is kind and considerate of others. In fact, he cares so much about his friendship with Sun-oh that he hides his feelings for Jojo even though he had a crush on her before Sun-oh did.”

Ga-ram on landing the role: “I was also a huge fan of the original story. And even before the decision was made to create a Netflix original series, I always liked Hye-young. So, when I was offered the role and met with director Lee, I communicated very clearly how much I like the character. I shared with director Lee a lot of my interpretation of Hye-young’s thoughts and we shaped the character together for the series.”

Hwang Sun-oh

“Being from a rich family and having a career as a model, this handsome guy has everything that a person could wish for. He’s so popular that his Love Alarm never stops ringing, but what no one knows is that he actually feels empty inside. He falls so deeply in love with Jojo that knowing his best friend Hye-young also likes her doesn’t stop him from pursuing her. For the first time, his Love Alarm rings for Jojo.”

Fun fact: It was revealed that Song Kang beat over 900 hopefuls (a lot of them were models and K-pop idols) to emerge victorious as the one to portray Sun-oh. The filmmaker told us that his “innocent and sentimental aura” ultimately won her over.

Love confession has been a major theme in many Korean dramas. How would you explain that concept to international fans?

So-hyun: In our Korean culture, confessing your love to someone and having that love be reciprocated is very important, because once that is done, we can move on to the actual relationship happening.

We really need to know what the other person is feeling in order to start a relationship in full scale. Viewers from other cultures may understand this application as something that can help people become lovers because confessing your love can be very difficult and hard to express what you’re feeling in words.

How would you confess your feelings to your love in real life?

So-hyun: Maybe writing a letter.

Ga-ram: It’s probably an etiquette to meet the person face to face and confess your love.

So-hyun: These days, people also don’t just suddenly declare to be boyfriend-girlfriend. It kind of happens naturally.

What was your focus when playing the role?

So-hyun: I tried not to present her as too sad. I was worried that she might come across as someone you simply pity. She’s not someone who wants anyone’s pity and needs to be taken care of or protected, and I made conscious efforts to make sure that she isn’t represented in that way.

Ga-ram: When playing the role, I tried to be honest. I hope that the audiences can feel
Hye-young’s feelings when they see Hye-young looking at Jojo next to Sun-oh.

Song Kang: As you can see from the webtoon, Sun-oh doesn’t talk very much—so I had to think about how to portray this character without saying much, and that’s why I tried my best to focus on his facial expressions that you get to glimpse at.

Are there any similarities between you and your characters?

So-hyun: There are aspects of Jojo that I thought were quite similar to me. Because I’ve played a lot of sad and depressed characters, a lof of viewers seem to have an impression of me as being reserved, quiet, and melancholic. Of course, there are parts of me that are like that, but I also am a very strong and resilient person inside. Jojo, likewise, may seem like someone who’s fragile and needs someone else to protect her, but she’s actually resilient inside. So I identified with her a lot in her strength and resilience, which made playing the character easier for me.

Ga-ram: Hye-young seems very positive and full of energy when surrounded by people, but he has his own pains and worries. I’m sure anyone can relate to this, but I identified with the dual aspect of Hye-young being positive and energetic around others, but at the same time, secretly worrying about his problems alone.

Song Kang: Even though Sun-oh tends to have his way with everything, but he doesn’t express how he truly feels. I thought that was quite similar to me.

On the contrary, how are you different from your characters?

Song Kang: The character Sun-oh has a lot of emotional hurt and he tries to seem tough and does whatever he wants. He really doesn’t express his feelings and I think that’s a little different from my personality. He acts in whatever way he wishes and tries to seem tough.

Ga-ram: My character Hye-young stands afar and keeps his distance from JoJo because of Sun-oh. He doesn’t say what he really feels, but I think in real life if it were up to me, I would go straight for her.

So-hyun: Jojo makes a lot of passive decisions because of certain circumstances that she’s placed in, she’s not able to express her true feelings. Personally if it were me, I like to express myself and how I feel. Jojo is maybe more cautious too.

What are your most memorable scene or favourite line in the series?

So-hyun: I like the line, ‘I won’t get crumpled,’ just as director Lee mentioned. I thought that line really expresses well who Jojo is. In the original webtoon, the scene actually has Sun-oh and Jojo sitting next to each other in a small alley when Sun-oh suddenly proposes that they kiss. And they start a conversation from there. That’s when the get to know each other better. I loved that scene. I was very excited to shoot the scene, and was excited in a different way from the way I felt about the scene in the webtoon.

Ga-ram: I would choose the line that goes, ‘To me, it’s all romance—because I’m doing it with you,’ because that encapsulates everything that Hye-young feels about Jojo.

Song Kang: I would choose a line from a scene where the friendship between Hye-young and Sun-oh is fractured. Sun-oh says, ‘The choice is up to Kim Jojo,’ and that was my favourite line.

So-hyun, we are curious – you team Hye-young or team Sun-oh?

So-hyun: Fans are divided into two groups: one that supports Hye-young and the other that supports Sun-oh. Both of the characters are so charming in very different ways, so it’s
difficult to choose one. But the reason why I like Hye-young is because he’s very loyal. I feel sympathetic for him for having loved Jojo for such a long time, but at the same time, have such respect for him. I became Hye-young’s fan because he made me feel, ‘Wow, a person could love another person to that extent’.

Last but not least, are there any memorable behind-the-scenes moments that you can share?

So-hyun: It’s been a while, so it’s hard to remember them. But I can recall my scenes with Ga-ram. Because we’re close friends in real life and we had to act very shy with each other on screen, it was funny and a little bit awkward.

Cyrus admitted that she has been controversial over the past few years but maintains that she’s never been unfaithful to Hemsworth. “I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” the 26-year-old singer wrote.

The “Mother’s Daughter” hit-maker added, “I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar. I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where I was when I was a younger.”

James Corden has truly found his niche as an American late-night television host, hasn’t he?

Earlier this week, it was announced that CBS has extended his contract for “The Late Late Show” all the way through 2020. The English presenter’s previous salary was between the $4 million-$5 million range. Variety reports that his pay cheque has since climbed thanks to the success of his show.

In the interview transcript provided by Blue Ant Entertainment, Corden talks about his work, rubbing shoulders with Hollywood celebrities, and the fan-favourite “Carpool Karaoke”.

Q: Why are these UK broadcasts so special to you? 

James: Well, they’re special for many reasons, obviously for myself and a lot of the crew that work on the show in Los Angeles, we get to come home and that’s a glorious feeling in itself. You know, getting to come home is lovely. It’s particularly special to come back with this show that I think we all feel very proud of, and to come back to London and see it being received so well and for it to play in prime time on Sky and in America, and across the world, and to come back and really showcase that kind of what I think is, for me, the greatest city in the world is a really lovely thing to do.

Q: Tell us who you have lined up to take part in dodgeball?

James: In dodgeball, it’s kind of crazy! It’s Michelle Obama, Harry Styles, Melissa McCarthy, Alison Janney, Lena Waithe, Benedict Cumberbatch, it goes on and on… As days go, I don’t know, it’s quite surreal really.

James: They all came from her, from the first lady, she was like, “I’d love to do something fun on the show, can we do something fun?” And we were like “Yes, of course. What would you like to do?” And she said “Well, I don’t know. What do you want to do?” And then we came up with this sort of stupid idea of a dodgeball game, which in itself is a ridiculous sport. Made even more crazy played with, you know, Michelle Obama and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Q: Does Harry Styles have any idea what he’s in for playing dodgeball?

James: Harry’s pretty good, Harry’s pretty good at it! I was terrible. Lots of us were bad, but it’s the whole notion of it being a sport is madness. I don’t know, that’s kind of what we like doing on our show really. It’s going “well here’s a silly idea; how do we make it even more ridiculous?” And that’s sort of what we sort of like doing, you know.

Q: You have a restaurant sketch with Chris Hemsworth. What was that like?

James: Myself and Chris were both waiters, as many performers are before either of us ever got a job. So we thought we’d go back to a restaurant and see who still had what it takes and what I realized is if you look like Chris Hemsworth, it doesn’t really matter if you’ve got what it takes. People will forgive you of anything. That’s what I realized. It’s an outrage.

Q: You’re heading to Paris for a special “Crosswalk the Musical”. What was that like?

James: This ‘Crosswalk the Musical’ thing is, I don’t know, I’m constantly amazed that we’re still doing it or allowed to do it. And we’ve done it in Los Angeles, we’ve done it in London, we’ve done it in New York, and then we thought, well, we’re coming to Europe, maybe while Britain is still part of the European Union, we should try and to go and do something. Then we thought what about doing ‘Les Misérables’ in Paris, and when you sort of have this idea, if they said no one’s going to allow us to do that. And then, you know, you just do lots and lots of talking on the phone, begging people to get a permit and before you know it, you’ve got one! And then you stood in front of angry Parisian drivers, you have no idea what was going on, they were screaming at you out of the window and you’re not entirely sure what they’re saying, but you’re sure it’s not good.

Q: You must be very proud about the popularity of The Late Late Show.  Did you have any idea it would be so well received?

James: No one could have ever thought that it would be like this sort of scale. You know, you just couldn’t really; it would be incredibly arrogant to think that it might, you know.

James: I find myself thinking all the time, I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve such memories. I don’t know how lucky you can be, you know? And it certainly feels like that. I think all your choices are half luck and now that we’e got this show to the place where it is today, we just want to carry on and see how long, see how long we could, we could potentially go with it.

Q: What is your favourite segment on the show?

James: I will always be grateful to ‘Carpool Karaoke’. None of us take it for granted; that was just a thing that happened that no one could have really predicted. You can really spend a long time trying to think of an idea that might cross over and become something you never think it will be. I’ll always be grateful to that segment that it just landed in our brains at the right time, in the right place.

In speaking to news.com.au, the 42-year-old English actor wasn’t afraid to dish about his sex life with fiancé Katy Perry. The verdict? Two-thumbs up!

“I would say that sex is a really important part of life because it’s a way to connect, it’s a way to show intimacy. Intimacy is an incredibly important part of life because if you can be intimate with somebody, then you’re blessed, right?” he was quoted as saying.

Following Bloom’s proposal to Perry, the Brit gushed that, “We’re doing great. Being engaged is a lot of work, but we’re building a castle that we can inhabit, a metaphorical castle.”

In a separate interview with NBC’s Sunday Today, the “Carnival Row” star said that he’s confident his second marriage won’t end in divorce. “It’s important to me that we are aligned. I’ve been married and divorced and I don’t want do it again… and we’re both fully aware of that. She’s remarkable and so I’m always so impressed with that and I’m encouraged.”

For those that don’t know, Bloom was married to model Miranda Kerr for three years, till 2013 and they share 8-year-old son Flynn together. Meanwhile, the pop star was previously in a 14-month marriage to British comedian Russell Brand before breaking up.

Malaysian actress Ruhainies expressed her disappointment towards the person who was responsible for spreading the alleged photos of her boyfriend, Elf Johan.

According to the 27-year-old, “I don’t understand why some people just cannot respect other people’s privacy, all I know is I never posted a picture of him on social media,” she wrote in her Instagram post. She asked local netizens to have some respect, or at least ask for her permission first before posting them online.

On Wednesday (21st August), a local entertainment portal allegedly posted an article that features her and her businessman boyfriend at an event. The photo was reportedly taken without the “Menantu Ting Tong” actress’s knowledge. If you are curious, check out the write-up here.

Ruhainies (real name Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas) also praised a few fans and reporters who respected her request to not reveal the identity of her Elf, also known among followers as Mr. E. Malaysian actress Mira Filzah is currently known among local fans as Putri in the TV series “Sweet Dreams”.

In the drama, she played a disabled character who is unable to speak. In other word, mute. Therefore, most of her method of communication are by using sign language. Her performance in the series received widespread attention among local media and also netizens.

While some praised her acting and also her chemistry with co-star Ben Amir, some bashed her for not portraying a mute person well enough, and even compared her with Sheila Rusly. For those who are curious, Sheila Rusly has showcased a brilliant performance before as a mute person in the TV3 series “Pia”.

When asked about the comparison during the premier night of her latest movie “Sangkar”, Mira shared her own opinion regarding the case:

“I believe people would tend to differentiate on who is better and who is not. But for me the actress (Sheila Rusly) is really great, I won’t deny her talent in acting. Our experience in this field are far more different and I’m still in the process of learning, growing and improving my skills in acting. For a more positive view, more people are alert and started to follow and learn sign languages as well. Prior to this, I didn’t know about their world before, but after guide from my sign language teacher, Cikgu Sarah, I started to learn something new.”

“Love Alarm” premiered on Netflix to rave reviews this week. Through the laughter, tears and heartbreak, audiences have grew fond and become invested in Jojo, Hye-yong, and Sun-oh.

Now that many fans have finished binge-watching all 8 episodes, the feedback has been unanimous – we need season 2! Especially since the first season ended on a cliffhanger.

Just as the developer Brian Chon (guess he didn’t commit suicide after all?) reveals that the Love Alarm 2.0 app can now predict one’s potential lover, we see Jojo caught in-between Hye-yong and Sun-oh. Both men simultaneously ring her alarm and our leading lady finds herself in an awkward position once again.

The scene then cuts to the end credits and viewers are left dumbfounded, thinking, “Wait, that’s it?” Already, countless fans have taken to social media demanding for a 2nd season. We hate to break it to you, but you’ll have to wait a little longer (likely next year) to see which handsome guy will successfully convince Jojo to open her heart again.

Will it be the wealthy model Sun-oh or humble boy Hye-yong?

Personally we think Sun-oh may have a slight edge over Hye-yong. Sun-oh still has feelings for Jojo despite spending a few years apart after the break up. Although Hye-yong is only beginning to fight for what he wants, some may feel like it’s too little too late.

Hye-yong was quite passive and took a backseat in lieu of his bestie for the first half of the season. Thankfully, actor Jung Ga-ram (정가람) exclusively told us that he’s quite the opposite in real life. It was frustrating to see Hye-yong put everyone but himself first – time and time again.

While Hye-yong and Jojo came off more like a brother-sister relationship, audiences could see the passion and chemistry between Sun-oh and Jojo. Having said that, you might be surprise to know that actress Kim So-hyun (김소현) admitted to us that she’s team Hye-yong.

What can fans expect from season 2?

Well, this much is obvious – So-hyun, Ga-ram, and Song Kang (송강) will be back to reprise their respectively roles. We might also get to see if Jojo’s former boyfriend Il-sik finally develop feelings for her frenemy Kim Jang-go. Plus, we’re still counting on hating Jojo’s bitchy cousin, Park Gool-mi (played brilliantly by Go Min-shi).

Is anyone also hoping for more shirtless scenes from Song Kang?

So, will there be a season 2?

The answer is almost certainly yes (although not officially confirmed yet) !

“If season 1 is well-received, we’ll produce season 2. So, season 2 really depends on how
well season 1 does. For slightly over half of season 1, you’ll get to see the high school years of the characters, followed by the adult years in the later part of the season where we get to ask ‘What’s Jojo’s choice?’ when she grows up,” Lee Na-jeong told us.

The director added, “This is my first time directing the end of a season. Usually for Korean TV series, once you’re done with the series, you’re done for good, but for this Original Series, we had to make the ending in a way that makes the audience want to watch the next season. So, this season will end with the question about Jojo’s choice.”

Another day, another good news to share with Marvel superhero fans.

In our previous article, it has been announced that Disney’s upcoming streaming platform, Disney+ is set to debut a number of live-action superhero TV series, including Loki, Hawkeye, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, WandaVision and also animation series What if are among others that are slated to premier on stream in between 2020 and 2021.

However, the announcement doesn’t stop there. During the D23 Expo 2019 held in Anaheim, California recently, Disney dished more exciting news about Disney+ by bringing in together 3 more TV series for Marvel fans.

For those who are curious, here are the 3 superhero series that are set to make their debut in the upcoming Disney+ platform.

1. She-Hulk

In the original comic book, She-Hulk (real name Jennifer Walters) is a cousin of the original Hulk, Bruce Banner. After Walters received a blood transfusion from Banner, she accidentally took in some of Banner’s gamma poisoning. As a result, she transformed into a more intelligent, controlled iteration of Hulk, which is a complete opposite from the original male version of the green bodied superhero.

2. Ms. Marvel

In the Marvel comic book series, Kamala Khan is a Muslim teenager from Pakistan. Her family moved to America before she was born and resided in in Jersey City. She came into her powers by accident though. After being exposed to mutagenic substance Terrigen Mists, she finds herself being able to manipulate her body shape and size.

Fun fact: Her 3 favourite superheroes are Steve Rogers, Tony Stark and Carol Danvers.

3. Moon Knight

Moon Knight tells the story about a mercenary named Mark Specter who was left for dead in the Egyptian desert. The character is described as a man who is “struggling with multiple personalities and amoral inclinations” who acts like a cloaked avenger.

Details including the casting and also the exact premier dateare yet to be released. But it was reported by The Verge that all of the series are currently in development. Fans might have to wait for more updates by Marvel.

Many people have dreamed of being taken under the wing of Wang LeeHom (王力宏). So imagine Nicole Lai (赖淞凤)’s delight when the music genius turned his chair around for her.

Nicole, who hails from Kepong, took part in the 4th season of reality singing competition, “Sing! China” (中国好声音). Just like “The Voice”, the coach will only turn their chair for the hopefuls they want on their team.

The 30-year-old Malaysian delivered a rendition of Guo Ding (郭頂)’s “Bao Liu” (保留). It wasn’t until the last second when LeeHom pressed his red button. “I started to feel disappointed at myself. I thought it was the end of the journey,” Nicole told Star2. “He saved me!”

According to the publication, the local singer is no stranger to singing competitions. The Kepong native has previously won local Chinese singing contest “Astro Star Quest” in 2012. She later represented our country in Taiwan’s “Million Star”.

Since she has already released 2 Mandarin EPs, why join another reality show? “I don’t see it as a singing competition but as a good opportunity to gain experience in China. It’s good to learn from production crews, musicians and coaches who are from a different environment,” Nicole told the newspaper.

She added, “‘Sing! China’ invited me to join the show in previous seasons but I couldn’t participate due to a scheduling conflict. This year, the show’s production team invited me again and I was ready.”

Nicole recalled that she was the last contestant to go up on stage that day after waiting from morning till night time. “It challenges you both physically and mentally. You need to always be ready and be at your best to face whatever situation comes your way. The production team may ask you to sing a certain song and you must be able to learn the song quickly,” she shared.

If you follow the TV show, you’d know that the outcome are often unpredictable. Does she has a strategy in advancing further? “I don’t see music as something competitive. I believe music is a very subjective. I just want to do my best and enjoy the moment,” she confessed.

The Malaysian has described LeeHom as “a very nice, sincere, talented and passionate artiste” whose advice to her is to “never stop learning and enjoy the music.”

Recently, he wrote on his Instagram another update that he is set to undergo operation to remove silicone implant on his breast tomorrow (Tuesday, 27th August 2019). In the post, he added that he will be less active on social media after this and asked his fans to pray for him. Safiey also shared that his parents are with him at the moment to care for him.

Apart from that, the 25-year-old gave a sarcastic remark that he will post the picture of the implants for those who kept persisting on when he will remove them. The comment section is filled comments from his followers praising his actions and sending their well wishes that the surgery will go smoothly.

As the cover boy of Rolling Stone’s new issue, Harry Styles has plenty of secrets to spill.

In his new interview, the 25-year-old British star opened up about his upcoming album, ex-girlfriend, and what it would take for One Direction to get back together for some new music.

Since embarking on each of their solo careers, it seems like Styles and his former bandmates have truly put their boyband days behind them. The good news is – that door isn’t completely closed yet; at least in Styles’ books.

“I don’t think I’d ever say I’d never do it again, because I don’t feel that way. If there’s a time when we all really want to do it, that’s the only time for us to do it, because I don’t think it should be about anything else other than the fact that we’re all like, ‘Hey, this was really fun. We should do this again’,” he told the publication.

“I think even in the disagreements, there’s always a mutual respect for each other — we did this really cool thing together, and we’ll always have that. It’s too important to me to ever be like, ‘Oh, that’s done.’ But if it happens, it will happen for the right reasons,” the singer explained.

Unlike many boybands, Styles is till proud of his One Direction work. “I know it’s the thing that always happens. When somebody gets out of a band, they go, ‘That wasn’t me. I was held back.’ But it was me. And I don’t feel like I was held back at all. It was so much fun. If I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t have done it. It’s not like I was tied to a radiator,” he joked.

When asked about his upcoming album, Styles shared that “all about having sex and feeling sad”. Magic mushrooms played a huge part in his creative process. “We’d do mushrooms, lie down on the grass, and listen to Paul McCartney’s Ram in the sunshine,” he recalled, adding one time when he was “doing mushrooms” he “bit off the tip of my tongue.”

Ouch! “So I was trying to sing with all this blood gushing out of my mouth,” he shared. “So many fond memories.”

In addition, the musician also noted that music is the only place “where it feels right” to talk about his relationships. “It’s not like I’ve ever sat down and done an interview and said, ‘So I was in a relationship, and this is what happened’,” Styles who dated Taylor Swift told Rolling Stone. “Because for me, music is where I let that cross over. It’s the only place, strangely, where it feels right to let that cross over.”

Fans got an exclusive preview for the final chapter of “Star Wars” trilogy during the D23 conference held in Anaheim, California this recent week.

The trailer for the new movie, “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” opens with footage from all nine epic space opera films. A voiceover from Luke declares that there have been “a thousand generations, but this is your fight.” Rey, Poe, and Finn are preparing for the biggest fight of their life.

We see battleships tear through the skies, as Rey and Kylo Ren meet in the middle of the war-torn planet, all drilled up for a fight. And the best part is they get to see Rey all dressed in black holding a red, double-sided lightsaber, raising talks that the main character is now taking a more antagonistic role in the upcoming film.

A lot of fans have came out with several theories and conspiracies regarding Rey’s supposed darker twist in the movie.

1. Evil Rey Is Actually A Cloned Rey

Cloning technique is no stranger in the “Star Wars” franchise. Not only did Emperor Palpatine developed the habit of cloning himself in order to achieve some sort of immortality, he also used army clones to fight in the animated series “The Clone Wars” (2008). The Emperor has confirmed to make his appearance in the new movie, just as he did in the Expanded Universe (EU) in a cloned version of himself. But the problem he faced there was that the more he tapped into the Dark Side, the more he would burn out his host body and require a new one.

Eventually Palpatine attempted to steal the body of Han and Leia’s son, Anakin, because it was the only vessel powerful enough to contain him. It has come to mind that Emperor Palpatine has made use of his cloning technology in the movie, by cloning Rey and turning her evil in the process.

2. The Movie Is Based On A Dark Side Vision

Let’s not forget the fact that Rey has a vision while training with Luke Skywalker back during “The Last Jedi” chapter back in 2017. She visited a cavern there that was powerful with the Dark Side, and while attempting to learn who her parents really were, she encountered multiple clones of herself. While some predicted that, others also came up with speculations that this is just a mere stylistic choice of director Rian Johnson.

Fans also relate with previous instalment of Star Wars – “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980) – where Luke Skywalker also had a vision while visiting the cave in Dagobah. There he encountered Darth Vader and beheaded him, only to see that it was his own face under the mask. The symbolism made sense though, when it was revealed that Luke is the son of Vader and he soon become a member of the Dark Side like his father.

So maybe this is yet another vision of Rey’s. As IGN points out, it would complete the cycle neatly since she had similarly scary and foreboding Force visions in the previous two films, and the background here does look like the cave from “The Last Jedi” (2017).

3. Rey Is Possessed By Palpatine

Fans knew it that the evil Emperor would make his comeback. Since it looks like the film will partly take place on the Death Star where the Emperor died, maybe his spirit is still tied to the wreckage. Word on the street has it that Rey herself is willing to turn to the Dark Side. Though the rumour is less likely to happen, but according to a theory quoted by IGN, Rey would “maybe, just maybe go Dark for a little while“, but who knows?

Word on the street has it that AirAsia will be having their next Free Seats promo in September. This will also coincide with the MATTA Fair that’s about to take place again.

According to our source, AirAsia tends to hold 4 Free Seats campaign per year. It’s usually every March, May or June, September, and November or December. Earlier this year, the first 2 campaigns were held on 10th March and 16th June. The next Free Seats is expected to launch sometimes between 8th to 15th September.

The company will generally drop a teaser 1 week before the launch date. That said, you can start paying close attention starting next week. In addition, wanderlusters are advice to sign up as an AirAsia Big Member as some of the privileges include having access to the Free Seats 1 day in advanced.

In the meantime, AirAsia is currently running the Merdeka promo with 20% discount off on flights. The promo also extends to hotel bookings and is valid till 1st September. Meanwhile, the travel period is from 2nd September till 19th November 2019.
