You think you’ve seen it all until you’re reminded with something like this that you sure ain’t seen nothing yet!
Recently, beer company Carlsberg decided to make Londoners tipsy-ly happy with probably the best poster in the world. Not our words, theirs. Gone were the days where ads would try to sell you their products because this one will quite literally feed you their product.
The Danish brewer, with help from ad agency Fold7 and design company Mission Media, unveiled a beer-dispensing billboard at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in London.
As seen in the picture above, the billboard was emblazoned with the headline, “Probably the best poster in the world.”
Upon the unveiling of the drinkable billboard, Carlsberg UK’s senior brand manager Dharmesh Rana commented:
We want to get the Carlsberg brand in front of as many beer drinkers as possible. To do this, we have to think differently with our approach and can’t just rely on great TV advertising. “If Carlsberg did posters” is one of many ideas that we’ll be developing over the course of the year to ensure that beer drinkers up and down the country see the Carlsberg brand in a new and engaging way alongside TV.
Oh, and just in case you’re worried that this might encourage underaged drinkers, well, the brand was on hand to monitor the drinkers, making sure that no one there was under 18 years of age. Ace!
