What, you thought it was all over? Not quit.

Disney loves their 2013 animated film hit, “Frozen” so much that the company currently doesn’t have any plans to “Let It Go”. In fact, they’re continuing to explore possibilities of a hugely lucrative animated film, staring with a 7-minute short film next month.

This is largely due to the fact that “Frozen” has garnered such strong sales of merchandise that it has continually generated revenue and is a big part in strong earnings for The Walt Disney Company in the most recent quarter. Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger made it clear that they’ve every intention of expanding and exploiting the momentum.

He said:

I don’t think that we can underestimate the impact that “Frozen” has had across our company and all of our businesses. Do we think “Frozen” has legs? We absolutely believe that this is the beginning of a long-term franchise.

The fact that the “Frozen” soundtrack has continued to drum its infectiousness in the audiences’ heads long after the movie was released (Let it go, let it go, can’t hold it back anymore), coupled with characters that both kids and adults alike can’t seem to forget (Olaf the snowman who loves summer), has kept the animated film well, alive, and fresh in people’s memories.

To prove a point, “Frozen” was released end 2013. It’s 2015 now.

In any case, we definitely haven’t seen the last of “Frozen” yet as Disney recently revealed that there would be an upcoming 7-minute “Frozen”-themed short film titled, “Frozen Fever”. The shot will be released along with Disney’s upcoming live-action “Cinderella” movie next month.

The short brings back “Frozen” directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, as well as voice stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad. From what we know the story will centre on Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) celebrating a birthday, but Elsa has a cold, which can only mean bad things for the recently unfrozen kingdom of Arendelle.

Here’s a first look at it:

The short, Bob Iger said, should generate further growth for consumer products buying.

Alright, Disney, shut up and take our money!
