Martell, one of the oldest cognac houses marked their Tricentenaire, celebrating the arts of gastronomy, tasting and craftsmanship at Elegantology Gallery & Restaurant recently. The celebration included the attendance of Jacques Menier, the Heritage Director of Martell and marks the first of a series of celebrations to culminate in a prestigious gala dinner in March.
“For 300 years, Martell has been the embodiment of French Art de Vivre, a philosophy in which gastronomy, tasting and craftsmanship were celebrated. This philosophy was inherited from and developed by the reign of Louis XIV at his court in Versailles. That is why we are here today, to celebrate our Tricentennaire amongst friends, which is exactly how Jean Martell, our founder, wanted his cognac to be enjoyed,” say Menier of the brand’s long and illustrious history.

In conjunction with their 300th anniversary celebration around the world, Martell will also be returning to its roots in Cognac, France with the launch of a unique new blend called the Martell Premier Voyage, which contains 18 exceptional eaux-de-vie, also featuring world-renowned French artist Bernar Venet’s exclusive design of a stunning sculpture which holds the rare cognac.
The House of Martell has also created other limited editions for the Tricentenary, namely Martell XO Exclusive Tricentenaire Edition, Martell Cordon Bleu 1912, and Assemblage exclusive de 3 Millesimes. Each limitied edition comes with a blend aged in barrels made from the oak of 300 year old trees.

During the celebration at Elegantology Gallery & Restaurant, guests were entertained by a live band performance throughout the evening, and those present whose birthday fell on the 17th of any month were treated with a special gift of Martell VSOP Nuit Edition.
