If there’s a fictional character that seems to posses the power of immortality on big screen, it’s James Bond.

The British Secret Service Agent has not given up on his secret identity as the summer blockbuster movie franchise will return to charm cinephiles with the 24th James Bond film. Following the announcement that an untitled Bond 24 film is in the works, UK-based production company Eon Productions made a huge announcement regarding its cast and official movie title during a media event at Pinewood Studios on December 4th.

Titled “Spectre”, the film is set to reintroduce the global terrorist organisation that was featured in some of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels and classic James Bond films. In the novel version of the story, SPECTRE was only described as a small group of criminals but the films have turned the group of criminals into a global organisation that has their own training based in SPECTRE islands.

The film will also welcome the leader of SPECTRE, Ernst Stavro Blofeld back in the game but it is unclear who will be playing the cat-stroking super-villain.

British actor Daniel Craig will return to play the leading role as James Bond and this will mark his 4th appearance in the James Bond film series. He also contracted to make his 5th appearance in an untitled Bond 25 movie.

As this is a follow-up to 2012’s “Skyfall“, Ben Wishaw, Naomie Harris, and Ralph Fiennes will return to the film as their respective roles while director Sam Mendes will return to direct the film based on John Logan’s screenplay that was rewritten by John Logan and Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade. “Big Eyes” actor Christoph Waltz and “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Dave Bautista have also been confirmed to star in the film:

  • Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser

  • David (Dave) Bautista as Mr. Hinx

  • Andrew Scott as Denbigh

Best known for his role as Jim Moriarity in BBC TV series “Sherlock“, Andrew Scott will also appear in the film as a character named Denbigh. However, it is unclear if he will be playing the leading villainous role as Christoph Waltz is also said to be playing a complex role that could a friend or foe to James Bond.

  • Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra

  • Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann

French actress Léa Seydoux is not the only Bond girl in the film as she will be joined by Italian actress Monica Bellucci who will be playing a character named Lucia Sciarra. The model-turned-actress is best known for her roles in various films including “The Matrix Revolutions” and “Irreversible”.

The director will start shooting the film in various countries including Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier & Erfoud in Morocco, Sölden in Obertilliach and Lake Altausee in Austria. The director will also be working closely with cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema and editor Lee Smith to create a certain vibe for the film.

Daniel Craig’s James Bond will be seen cruising along the streets with a stunning new car that was specially made for the upcoming film. Together with EON Productions, Aston Martin specifically created DB10 with the brand’s design and engineering teams. It will be the 3rd time that Daniel Craig will be driving an Aston Martin in the James Bond film series:

The DB10 will be handmade for 10 Aston Martin’s customers, presumably the wealthy ones or Bond fans who are interested in buying the car. The cars will be created at the company’s facility in Gaydon, England. No further details were given about the car’s pricing and the film’s characters but the synopsis and the teaser poster of the film have been revealed.

Check out the synopsis of the film below:

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation, Spectre. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.

Official teaser poster:

Set to release worldwide on November 6th 2015, the film will hit the Malaysian cinemas on November 29th instead.
