Oh boy.
Yet another sexual assault lawsuit against “X-Men: Days of Future Past” director Bryan Singer has been dropped after a federal judge in Hawaii granted the accuser Michael Egan’s requests to withdraw the lawsuit.

Despite opposition from Singer’s lawyers, Egan’s lawsuit has been granted to be dismissed without prejudice, allowing Egan to file new lawsuit in the future making the same claims.
Earlier in July, Egan’s former attorney Jeffrey Herman and Singer’s attorney attempt to settle the lawsuit for $100,000. However, Herman removed himself from the case after Egan refused the settlement. Egan was forced to dismiss the case without prejudice, explaining in court filings that he needed additional time to find a new attorney to represent him in the next lawsuit.

This isn’t the first time that the director was accused of sexual abuse as a 14-year-old extra previously accused him of asking the minors to film a nude shower scene in the nude for the film, “Apt Pupil”. The case was then dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
However, Singer’s “gender violence” against the minors was brought to limelight again after Michael Egan accused him of sexually abusing a 17-year-old aspiring model/actor in the late 90′s. Another lawsuit was filed by Egan’s former attorney Jeffrey Herman on behalf of an anonymous British man “John Doe No.117″ as well. The man accused Singer and producer Gary Goddard of sexually assaulting him while in London for the premiere of “Superman Returns”.

But of course, Singer denied the allegations in a statement and Singer’s attorney presented evidence to Federal District Judge Susan Oki Mollway stating that neither Singer nor Egan were in Hawaii at the time. “We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit,” Singer’s attorney Martin Singer said in a statement. “It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan’s new movie (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) is about to open.”
