Brace yourselves people! A circulating image on social media avenues have left the public in wonderment over the proposed toll rate hike come January 2014.
According to the images, the proposed toll rate hikes range from RM0.10 to RM1.00, depending on the location of the tolls. Just days ago, a minister had forewarned the public of the proposed rate hikes and claimed that the current government would gain more than RM400 million in unpaid compensation, which will be used for amenities and infrastructure projects.

The public have been bitter over the rising cost of living, following the government’s decision to increase petrol prices, sugar subsidies and new property assessment rates to date. Beginning January 2014, the toll rate hikes and an increase in electricity tariffs are said to be implemented.
