An unidentified Asian male was the victim of assault when his employer accused him of ‘speaking to his wife.’ The footage which was captured by way of a mobile device, shows a male Saudi Arabian man (in white) confronting the alleged wrongdoer (in orange), asking him for an explanation.
He then proceeds to beat the Asian man.
In the video, the Asian male was subject to slaps and punches thrown to his face before sucummbing to his employer’s whip. Sources indicate that Human Rights Activists have lodged a complaint and are seeking help and an explanation from Saudi Arabian authorities.
The beating has led the country’s human rights authority to receive multiple complaints by viewers calling for the perpetrator to be punished, said spokesperson Ibrahim al-Shadi. Shadi added that the beating was a flagrant violation of the victim’s rights to safety and dignity and the act also flouted rules set by Islamic Sharia. The spokesperson added that, regardless of why the man was allegedly assaulted, the perpetrator’s actions did not abide by state-enforced rules on the protection of human rights.
