Fans of Malaysia’s longest running and most prestigious short film competition were ecstatic to hear of the return of the BMW Shorties, a short film competition presented by BMW Group Malaysia which is now in its 7th year. The announcement was made in conjunction with the premiere of “Pizza”, the newest short film from the creative mind of BMW Shorties 2012 winner and thriller extraordinaire, Dick Chua.
At the premiere, Dick Chua said, “Winning the BMW Shorties last year was a dream come true for me. Since then, my team and I have been hard at work crafting our newest thriller, ‘Pizza’ which we hope viewers would enjoy watching as much as they did with our previous film ‘Murdered’.
A masterful pulse-rushing and heart stopping pace thriller, a distinctive trademark of Dick Chua’s film making style, ‘Pizza’ is an adaptation of a true story of a kidnapping case that took place many years ago.
Present at the event was Dr. Gerhard Pils, President of BMW Group Malaysia, Mr. Sashi Ambi, Head of Corporate Communications, Dick Chua, Winner of BMW Shorties 2012 and director of Pizza, Nandita Solomon, film producer and judge of BMW Shorties 2013 and Sharad Sharan, film producer and judge of BMW Shorties 2013.
