STP fans, we have brilliant news. The popular 90′s rock band Stone Temple Pilots have announced an American tour lineup starting with Pennsylvania on the 4th of September 2013. The Stone Temple Pilots are also planning an EP of new music for a release this fall, their first with Linkin Park singer Bennington fronting the band.
When speaking at a recent interview, Bennington said ”When you get together and put a new piece in, there’s a whole different energy, for us the creative juices have just been flowing – we’ve been writing, we have tons of great ideas.”
STP fired original singer Scott Weiland in February, and Stone Temple Pilots later sued Weiland in May over the singer’s use of the band’s name and catalog in his solo tour. Weiland filed a countersuit against Stone Temple Pilots, seeking at least $5 million and claiming his former bandmates conspired against him.
