The quartet’s other popular self-made videos showcases their creative blend of popular/contemporary songs and classical music. The Piano Guys source from artistes ranging from Michael Jackson, Adele, David Guetta to Mozart and Gabriel Fauré for their mashups. As one of the members, Steven Sharp Nelson explained, their music is a “new spin on classic stuff.”
Following their series of successful videos uploads; The Piano Guys were signed to a major record label, Sony Masterworks in 2012 and have since released their self titled debut record, The Piano Guys, which reached No.1 on the Billboard New Age and Classical Musical Charts in 2012. The Piano Guys Volume 2 was also released in Singapore in May 2013.
