There was absolutely nothing that could have stopped Malaysian fans of the popular American Rock band, Linkin Park. Held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Chester Bennington and his bandmates Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Dave Farrell, Brad Delson and Joe Hahn returned to Malaysia for their Living Things World Tour yesterday.
Even though the evening was rather wet, it did not stop over 25,000 fans from rocking out to the tunes of the band. And boy, was Chester amazing! His vocal power echoed throughout the stadium, leaving us gasping for air as we imitated every some they sang on stage. Not to mention much head-banging.
The evening started off with the bands Hybrid Theory singles, In The End, Papercut, One Step Closer; among others. Coupled with a spectacular visual backdrop, the boys gave it their all in what was known as their final destination for the Living Things World Tour series. Shinoda expressed his gratitude to the Malaysian fans for supporting the band, throughout their careers, from ‘Hybrid Theory’ to their recent ‘Living Things’ album – to which have sold over 60 million copies worldwide!
He said that this concert will be the last for the band, before they recuperate with the intention of producing more music and a teaser into the band’s Facebook contest.
It has been over a decade since the band had performed in Malaysia and they made the wait well-worthwhile.
We would like to express our gratitude to Storekini‘s partner TheWonderland+ Artistry for giving us the privilege to enjoy the concert last night.
