It’s been a long time since Reshmonu had conjured something as exciting as his last album! This time, the singer/songwriter is back, collaborating with international powerhouse producer Jim Beanz with an international album. The boy’s (Reshmonu, Jim Beanz and Reggae superstar Apache Indian) were in our shores not too long ago for the special preview of the new album. Although the singer has yet to name the album, he gives Hype Malaysia an exclusive insight to it all, including a sneak peek into the production of his new single ‘X-Rated’.
Tell us more about the new album, and ‘X-rated’?
The album will have about 15-19 tracks which will all be produced in US and scheduled to be out early next year. I will be working with Jim on a few more tracks and hopefully we might just be able to collaborate with some big names.
As for X-rated, the music video is going to be one of my sexiest ever to date and hopefully it will be launched by August. The song is already out on radio and it has a combination of RnB, Dance and Reggae influence by Apache himself.
Who are your biggest inspirations on the upcoming album?
My inspiration is non-other than Jim Beanz working on the magic himself! He has been awesome so far. I can’t wait to get back and start working on my other 8 tracks as I know that it will be even more brilliant!
We understand that you had been working on the music video of ‘X-Rated’, what are the fans expecting to see in the video?
Well we have been shooting with various models in beautiful locations like Mai Bar at Aloft Hotel in KL Sentral where they have an infinity pool facing KL’s magnificent view with drinks on the side. So go figure! It’s gonna be pretty hot and sexay!
Thats awesome, are there any celebrity cameo’s!?
Besides Jim and Apache, we do have the lovely Miss Malaysia Universe 2010, Nadine Ann Thomas, playing on the decks with a beautiful outfit. I sure hope you check that out!
What was it like, working with (Jim) Beanz & Apache?
It has been fantastic and exciting as they have been on the ball throughout my time there. The fact that we are all perfectionist, it makes it easier to come out with a kick ass track! Jim has been the name behind many chart toppers in the American music industry. People like Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears the list goes on and on.
Working with him I’m confident that we will find a new current sound, a sound that will definitely find its own place in the industry. Nothing is impossible. I personally cant wait to get back there and work on my next few tracks!
With this, many musicians such as yourself are inspired to make a name internationally. What is your advice to them?
Never give up, always believe in your passion! It can get tough out there but only you will be able to bring yourself up as high as you want. Be patient and always be open minded!
