Getting the role of a superhero in a film is a wonderful oportunity. But this also means lots of work from actors and actresses to add or lose body mass in order to match up to their comic book counterparts.

Few have managed to get into the right shape. Examples include Chris Evans as Captain America, Christian Bale as Batman, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and the list go on. Despite this, not all human bodies are that accepting to the transformation, as Robert Pattinson found out.

The Brit, who is set to play the new Batman, has been hard at work training in preparation for the role as seen here. Nevertheless, a new report claims that the star is having trouble bulking up to play the Gotham Dark Knight. It is believed that the 33-year-old is finding it difficult building up muscle even with his intensive training.

This troubling report has left many questions hanging over at the new “Batman” film. One of which, is whether this trouble in muscle built may cause for delays for the film? Especially since it has been reported that filming will start late 2019 or early 2020.

“I’ve also heard that Robert Pattinson is having a little bit of trouble bulking up. I think it’s probably impossible for him to fully bulk up because he just has a slight build,” Randolph told We Got This Covered.

“But I think it’s hilarious they are like, ‘Maybe if we gave him a few more weeks, he might bulk up’. If he hasn’t bulked up by now, he’s not going to bulk up. Just accept you have skinny Batman and deal with it,” she later added.

Hopefully everything will turn out well for “The Lighthouse” star and we do hope that fans will accept Pattinson’s Batman, even if he turns out skinnier than what was drawn in the comic books.

Goo Hara (구하라)’s recent death news has indeed left a significant impact on fellow celebrity friends in the Hallyu industry.

Ever since the reports came out, many artistes took to their personal social media accounts – mostly Instagram – to pay their tributes as well as bid their final farewell to the ex-KARA member.

BIGBANG’s rapper T.O.P recently posted a series of screenshots of his conversation with Hara on his Instagram Story. In one of the photos, he shared that the 28-year-old sent him a video of her song called “Midnight Queen”, along with the caption, “A tender-hearted and kind girl who had many dreams and passion for music, Hara.”

Additionally, another photo was of Hara’s birthday message to the 32-year-old. “Your final text was a happy birthday message that I did not respond to. I am really sorry, Hara. Rest in peace in a good place,” T.O.P (real name Choi Seunghyun) apologised.

Apart from that, ex-WINNER member Nam Taehyun, singer Junggigo, Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu also took to their respective Instagram accounts to address the recent unfortunate news. However, the post by Taehyun has been deleted by him for unknown reasons.

In another news, it was reported that the police will no longer proceed with carrying out autopsy. The Gangnam Police Department has confirmed on 25th November (Monday) that they will be closing the case.

As reported before, the police concluded that there were no signs of crimes involved in the case. Based on the CCTV footage analysis carried out by the officers, the “City Hunter” actress was discovered unconscious by her housekeeper.

New photos have surfaced where Justin Timberlake was getting a bit too handsy with fellow co-star, Alisha Wainwright, despite being married to actress Jessica Biel for 7 years.

The picture was snapped around midnight at a bar, where the two have been seen drinking and chatting. This happened after a break from filming the pair’s latest film, “Palmer”, where they play lovers.

According to onlookers, Wainwright, 30, was seen touching Timberlake’s knee before the “Cry Me A River” singer took hold of her hand. However, the source added that the Grammy winner had been drinking heavily and was unsteady on his feet. This didn’t stopped people from being shocked at his action and risk disrupting his married with Biel, 37.

One person on-site said, “They were smiling and laughing. At one stage he grabbed her hand and rested it on his knee. She then gently started stroking his leg. Then he clutched her hand with both of his and was playing with her hands.”

They were also seen alone on the balcony for 40 minutes before heading back inside. It was believed that they exited the bar via a back exit at around 12:30am. In addition, the photo taken also revealed a missing wedding ring on the singer’s finger. Suspicious much?

The Florida-born actress is best known for her role as Maia Roberts in the show “Shadow Hunters”. She can be currently seen in the Netflix’s series “Raising Don” alongside Michael B. Jordan.

Timberlake and Bier married in 2012 and they have a four year old son named Salis together. Their marriage is also widely considered rock solid among Hollywood, with the duo frequently posting heartfelt videos of each other on their Instagram accounts.

We do hope the incident turns out to be no big deal and that the stars were just fooling around at the bar.

Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah has caught everyone’s attention in one of her tweets online.

Recently, Tunku Azizah uploaded a photo of her driving license, along with the caption, “Oh dear …. my license died!”. 

The tweet was then quoted by a Twitter user known as Pedoq (username @pedoqpop), pointing out his disbelief towards the Royal Queen. “Can’t believe our Queen knows how to ride lorries and super bikes,” Pedoq wrote.

Based on the picture above, it can be seen that Raja Permaisuri Agong has a license for B,D and E class. For those who don’t know, B class refers to driving license for motorcycles exceeding 500 cc (B full), while E class is a license for heavy vehicles more than 7500 kg (lorries and trucks).

Local netizens were left amused upon seeing the tweet. In this case, most of them are surprised knowing that Tunku Azizah is skillful in riding heavy machineries as well as super bikes.

Need some paw-sitivity in your lives? How about some bear hugs from We Bare Bears themselves?

That’s right peeps! After visiting China, Philippines and Singapore, the internet-famous bear-brothers are finally paying a visit to Kuala Lumpur.

This comes after Cartoon Network teased Malaysia as the next stop in their “We Bare Bears: We’ll Be There” pan-Asian tour last month. In Singapore, the bears appeared iconic tourist locations such as the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay and also greeted fans at Century Square and Tampines One malls.

Meanwhile, Pinoys got some bear love when We Bare Bears visited local charity – Healing Heart to encouraged donation of school supplies and toys for children in need. When the bear brothers visited China, they got to hold a meet-and-greet with their biggest fans onboard a cruise in Shanghai. How fun!

Lately, We Bare Bears have been spotted giving out free hugs to fans in Malaysia at several Kuala Lumpur tourist spots including KLCC and Central Market. They are not done yet though. To ensure that they get to meet for fans, We Bare Bears will be setting up a shop at a shopping mall.

No news yet for the solo X-men spinoff, “Gambit”, which is being trapped in development hell indefinitely. The movie was supposed to be Channing Tatum’s introduction to the comic book world but after several years of waiting he seems to have put this behind him.

In comes “The Maxx”, a cult comic book series that will be introduced to the screen by Tatum and Roy Lee. Despite this, not much is really known about the purple giant character. In order to remedy that, here are 5 facts we found out about the series.

1. Who is The Maxx? 

“The series follows the story of The Maxx, a homeless man who believes he is a superhero. The Maxx shifts between the real world and a dream world, which he refers to as The Outback, which is just as real to him as the real world. His only friend is Julie Winters, a freelance social worker. Little does she know that she and The Maxx have a deeper connection, and it involves the dream world into which The Maxx is constantly drawn”

2. Not Marvel nor DC

Often times when we hear about the comic book world, we will think of either Marvel or DC. That is quite unfortunate because there are a lot of hidden gems in other smaller publishers, like Image Comics. They have released tons of great comic series like “Spawn” and the one we’re talking right now. That being said, it would be nice if more publishers get recognise besides the big two.

3. Original run

The original “The Maxx” comic was a product of the 90s, with its original run ended in 1998 after releasing 35 issues. The writer is Sam Kieth, who had a wealth of experience working for Marvel and DC before going to Image.

4. Teaming up with Batman

Writer Sam Kieth returned to the series in 2018, for a crossover with DC icon Batman. The mini-series was done in celebration of the 25th anniversary for the cult character creation and it featured “Batman/The Maxx: Arkham Dreams”.

5. Animated series

Even though the new rendition would be pretty interesting to watch, it will not be the series’ first adaptation, as it was previously picked up by MTV for a 13-episode animated series back in 1995.

When the news of K-pop starlet Goo Hara (구하라)’s unfortunate death came to light recently, fans have been attacking her ex-boyfriend, Choi Jongbum (최종범) with various hate comments online.

K-netizens as well as die-hard Hallyu followers having been voicing out their anger towards the professional hairstylist by trending the hashtag #Punish_ChoiJongbum on Twitter as well as signing a petition to appeal for him to receive heavier punishment.

Following the massive backlash as a result of the unfortunate news, a friend of Choi Jongbum – also a colleague of him at the hair salon – has come out with a statement in an interview to provide some updates on his current condition of him after finding out about Hara’s death.

“Choi Jongbum has had a difficult time even since the controversy about her relationship with Goo Hara came to light,” the source shared. He further added that after Jongbum has “not been coping well” ever since he heard about Hara’s passing.

“Everything related to his ex-girlfriend is a sensitive matter to him,” the source clarified, before adding, “and we as colleagues have decided to not talk about it.” He then refused to give a more elaborate details on the ongoing situation. “It is difficult for me to tell you more,” said the anonymous colleague.

Choi Jongbum’s current condition has remained a big question mark among K-fans ever since the news about the former KARA member’s sudden passing broke out over the weekend. Stay tuned for more upcoming updates.

Director-actress Elizabeth Banks was picked up by Universal recently to direct and star in their new film, “Invisible Woman”, which is based on her own original pitch.

The script for the film will be penned by “The Girl on the Train” screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson. Meanwhile, Banks will handle the production side of things with her company Brownstone Productions alongside co-founder Max Handelman.

Plot details for the film is still being kept under wraps, but sources say that the pitch made by the 45-year-old was very different from the “Invisible Man” film that is set to come out in February 2020, with no potential of a crossover between the two films.

This news follows the announcement of another Universal film, “Renfield”, which will be directed by “Rocketman” director Dexter Fletcher. The Fletcher flick is a new take on Dracula’s henchmen and it shows a new strategy adopted by the studio, who originally wanted all their monster IP to be part of a interconnected universe like the Marvel movies. The new strategy will be focusing more on filmmaker-driven projects that made the movies popular in the first place, allowing for more creative freedom for the makers of the film.

Hopefully things will turn out well for the “Pitch Perfect 2” director seeing as her last film, “Charlie’s Angels”, was a box office flop.

Oh no! Another Asian star has passed away. This time it’s Godfrey Gao (高以翔).

The North Vancouver-raised supermodel has collapsed while in the midst of filming a Chinese variety series. Sadly, he reportedly died 3 hours after he was rushed to a hospital.

Sina Entertainment reported that the 35-year-old model-actor was filming “Chase Me” – which is a Zhejiang Television variety series that centres on the contestant’s physical tasts – when the unfortunate incident happened.

It was approximately 2am earlier this morning (Wednesday, 27th November) when his body gave out midway through filming. Hong Kong actor William Chan and boy band Fahrenheit member Calvin Chen were also on set.

Bystanders tried to revive Godfrey but to no avail. Onlookers also claimed that his heart stopped beating for 3 minutes before it resumed and he was transferred to the hospital. His Taiwanese agency JetStar Entertainment has since confirmed his death.

The statement reads:

“He has unfortunately left us, leaving us extremely shocked and saddened, and we are still unable to accept this. His family has rushed to the scene. Please understand Godfrey’s family is experiencing deep sorrow and grief, and avoid excessive disturbance to them. We will accompany Godfrey’s family in handling the relevant matters with a low profile.”

Godfrey was born to a Taiwanese father and a Malaysian mother from Penang. The 1.93m-tall hunk became the first Asian male model to appear in luxury brand Louis Vuitton’s ad campaign in 2011.

The late actor’s fame shot skyward after he appeared in 2016’s “Remembering Lichuan”. He also made his mark in Hollywood with 2013’s “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”.

A lot has gone by Scarlett Johansson through the years, with her being busier than ever as one of Hollywood A-list stars. So it can be forgiven that a lot of fans have forgotten that “The Avengers” star was once married to “Deadpool” actor, Ryan Reynolds.

The two began their relationship back in 2007, which then lead to their marriage a year later in September 2008. Unfortunately though, the marriage didn’t last long. In less than two years of being married, they announced their split in December of 2010, with their divorce being finalised in 2011.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Johansson let us in on her side of the story in the marriage. In the interview, she cited her age and romanticised view of marriage that lead to its downfall, but assured fans that she’s in a better place now.

“The first time I got married I was 23 years old,” the 35 year-old actress said, referring to Reynolds. “I didn’t really have an understanding of marriage. Maybe I kind of romanticized it, I think, in a way. It’s a different part of my life now. I feel like I’m in a place in my life, I feel I’m able to make more active choices. I’m more present, I think, than I’ve been before.”

She would eventually married again in 2013, with French Journalist Romain Dauriac, whom she had a daughter with in the same year. The marriage would also turn out to be another bust as they would eventually split in 2016. Currently, her is in a relationship with “Saturday Night Live” co-head writer Colin Jost, who she got engaged with last May.

“The idea of building a family, making a family, and having that work, I like that idea,” the “Lucy” actress told Vanity Fair. “I think that would be wonderful. I’ve always wanted that. I wanted that also in my marriage to my daughter’s father as well. It just wasn’t the right person. But I like that idea.”

Both Johansson and Reynolds haven’t spoken much about their marriage since the divorce. However, we do hope the two would eventually reconcile with each other and even star in a movie together.

DC has been having a resurgence as of late with two of their latest superhero film “Shazam” and “Joker”, finding both commercial and critical success. Despite this, the studio and Warner Bros. have yet to figure out on what to do with arguably their most famous character, Superman.

To solve the problem regarding Superman, studio heads have been pilling up high-profile talents to make the character more interesting to modern audience. One of which is Michael B. Jordan, who has confessed to be a massive comic book fan.

According to Variety, the “Black Panther” actor has met with studio execs earlier this year. The meet up was to discuss the future of the character with the “Kin” actor pitching in a few ideas. The studio is allegedly interested in having Jordan filled in the role left vacant by the Henry Cavill.

However, it was said that the 32-year-old actor wasn’t ready to commit to the project since filming won’t be ready for several years. In addition, sources also believe that audiences are unlikely to see a “Superman” film before 2023 as no script or director have been attached to the project.

Other people in discussion also include director J.J. Abrams, whose company Bad Robot recently signed a massive first-look deal with the studio. So expect further development on the character’s future on the big screen in the coming months.

Even if the “Creed” actor was keen to take up the role, he faces tough opponents from predecessor Henry Cavill, who expressed that he’s still interested in the role. “I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet,” Cavill told Men’s Health.

Currently, “The Wired” star is keeping himself busy with him already being attached to “Black Panther 2” and the upcoming Sollima flick, “Without Remorse”. So any thoughts of him taking up the role of the red caped hero will have to be put on hold, for now.

Tony Eusoff recently took to his Twitter to voice out his dissatisfaction towards a local production house for offering him an unreasonable amount of payment for his on-screen appearances.

The 42-year-old posted a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation he had with with a production rep on social media.

“We are reaching the year 2020, but the budget for a TV drama is still disappointing,” Tony tweeted. He concluded the caption with the hashtag #VisionNotReally2020. It is believed that the “Sepi” actor was initially approached by a rep to star in a total of 11 scenes with an unknown budget. In this case, the total amount was kept hushed by Tony.

Unimpressed with the amount of payment offered by the team, Tony replied by saying, “Is the budget (offered) used during the Malacca Sultanate age? Tony updated his fans with a series of tweets to address the ongoing issue. According to the theatre activist, he has “been reflecting on recent things and realised my responses on some issues have been rather out of proportion.”

He further continued by saying that the post was never meant to be a “personal attack”, but he assured that there will always be someone hardworking enough to try and get things straight.

Agnez later took to her Instagram to clarify the situation. According to the “Ku T’lah Jatuh Cinta” actress, the video that was spread online was incomplete. Furthermore, she emphasised that even though she is a part of the minority, she is able to share “this amazing diversity” that she has learned in her country.

In addition, she claimed that it is not her place to choose her own blood and DNA. Not only that, she assured everyone that she will always stand for her homeland, and nobody will take her love for the country away from her.

From facilities troubles to players sleeping on the floor, the Philippines 2019 Southeast Asian Games is turning into a disaster.

Now new reports have come out, claiming that a loan worth RM900 million was taken from a Malaysian firm to fund construction for the SEA Games facilities.

The news came from Opposition Senate Leader Franklin Drilon, who pointed out that there was a deficit in the country budget that amount to P624 billion (RM51 billion). He believes 2.5% of it was used to fund the SEA Games.

When asked about why he thinks the funds for the games was questionable, he said that the Philippines is incurring a loan from an unspecified Malaysian bank. He added that the loan will result in the Filipino government having to pay P2.2 billion (RM180 million) each year for 5 year, totalling up to P11 Billion (RM900 million).

“We are incurring a loan here. Inutang natin ito from a Malaysian bank. That would be payable in five years time at P2.2 billion per year. So that’s a total of P11 billion. So it was financed by borrowing, mind you,” he told reporters.

On ther other hand the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), who was responsible for the construction of the facilities, has disputed the claim. They deny taking loan from any Malaysian lender, stating that they acquired the funds through congress approval.

Furthermore, BCDA also stated their project partner, development firm AlloyMTD, undertook the construction at their own expense. They stated that the developer was only promised to get paid from the government once the facilities was completed, hence, not a single cent was given to them.

Others that were involved like, SEA games chief organizer Speaker, Alan Peter Cayetano, have also spoken out. Adding that the fund used for the games has been used efficiently, so it did not matter whether the funds received was from a loan or not.

The late Goo Hara (구하라) had a heart-wrenching text conversation with her big brother weeks before her passing.

Yesterday (Wednesday, 27th November), the “Invincible Youth” star’s brother, Goo Hoin (구호인) shared their last ever text messages between them on KaKaoTalk.

The full translated conversation reads:

Hara’s brother: “I’m begging you, please don’t have negative thoughts. Don’t get sick. Take a good care of your health. I hope you will get married, have children, and live for a very long time. Whenever you feel sad, just cry it all out. I know it is hard to let it out. But, I love you, sister.”

Hara: “I love you, Oppa. Don’t worry.” 

Hara’s brother: “You must be sad. My heart aches like crazy. Go and eat something delicious while you are at Japan. I’ll bring you some tasty treats tomorrow.”

Hara: “Okay.”

It is believed that the conversation between the former KARA member and her brother happened shortly after her best friend, Sulli’s passing last month.
