It’s convenient to label a band of good looking young men with a pop sound as a boy band. As far as Lawson, a four-piece British band is concerned, that label is the farthest thing from the truth.
For openers, the band’s debut album, Chapman Square, features 12 original songs written by the band members. To date, the album has spawned the hit singles, “Taking Over Me” and “Standing In The Dark” playing on heavy rotation on local radio stations:
Malaysian fans of Britain’s new sensation will have a chance to judge for themselves when Lawson visits Kuala Lumpur from 11 – 14 April on the final stopover of their Asian tour.
Fans who want a pass to Lawson’s showcase on 13th April at Stage Club, Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur at 7:00 pm need only to purchase the deluxe CD version of Chapman Square at Speedy and Rock Corner music retail outlets in Klang Valley. Those with passes for Lawson’s showcase concert will also get an opportunity to meet the band during the autograph session.
