Fitness First Malaysia, the world’s largest privately owned health club group, launched International Fitness Week 2013, a global initiative to raise awareness of the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
This worldwide movement ran from 11th to 17th March 2013 and encompassed a week-long calendar of activities aimed at educating and encouraging Malaysians to get moving and kick start their health and fitness regime. Each of the 13 Fitness First clubs hosted different activities, allowing both Fitness First members as well as members of the public to visit the clubs around the Klang Valley and experience the various classes and exercises offered.
The week started off with an Assessment Day, allowing people to evaluate their current fitness level. This was followed by a variety of daily activities, such as FreestyleTM Training sessions, BODYJAM® and ZUMBA® dance classes. The week came to a close with a Rest and Relaxation Day, which offered a calming outdoor yoga session after the week’s spirited activities.
Throughout the entire week, Fitness First Malaysia opened their doors to more than 15,000 participants, showing that Malaysians are starting to get serious about their health and fitness.
International Fitness Week 2013 might be over, but this is just the beginning of the journey towards a healthier and fitter lifestyle for all Malaysians. It’s never too late to start exercising, visit any of Fitness First’s 13 clubs in Malaysia to meet their experienced and certified team of fitness professionals.
