Come 14th April 2013 (Sunday), another one of ‘em highly anticipated awards will be happening in California, US! It’s the one with the funniest but totally legit categories (read: “Best Scared-As-Sht-Performance”, “Best WTF Moment”, “Best Shirtless Performance”). Yuh huh. The MTV Movie Awards!
Leading the pack this year is, of course, Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”. The movie has already won some Golden Globes and Oscars, so there’s really nothing that surprising about being nominated for this year’s MTV Movie Awards. As a matter of fact, “Django Unchained” has been nominated for a total of seven categories, including the coveted “Movie of the Year”.
One of our favourite movies of 2012, “Ted”, also received a whopping total of seven nominations. Whereas “Silver Linings Playbook”, which stars the new Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, comes in close with six nominations. Whoa. Talk about competition! Guess we’re forced to root for them all.
