Four years ago, Chris Brown beat Rihanna aka RiRi into what looks like a bloody pulp. It was something that shook the entertainment industry and eventually served Chris Brown his five years’ probation period. Until today, pictures of RiRi’s bruised up face can still be found just about anywhere and in every nook and cranny of the interwebs.
So who would’ve ever guessed that the duo would ever think of renewing their tumultuous romance?
In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stones, RiRi opens up about getting back together with Chris Brown:
I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. I decided it was more important for me to be happy. I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s–t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that. He doesn’t have the luxury of f–king up again. That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.
Hmm. As far as second chances go, one thing’s for sure – this will definitely be Chris Brown’s final chance because it sounds like RiRi will bolt right out the door if there was even the slightest hint of abusiveness. We wish them all the best!
