CBS has announced that the TV adaptation of the action movie “Limitless” will air its pilot this fall, which takes place in America from end of September to mid December.

Bradley Cooper, who played the role of Edward “Eddie” Morra in the movie, will be reprising his role in the TV series. However, it is unsure whether he will star in the other episodes of the series as he is only credited as a “guest star”.

In the 2011 film, Morra is an author who finds out about a pill that enables him to unlock the limitless potential of his brain. The adaptation will, however, follow the story of Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman), a man who discovers the potential of the NZT drug. He is forced to go on the run when several FBI officers chase after him for some as-yet-unknown reasons.

You can read the official synopsis here:

Picking up post the events of the film, a man discovers the power of a mysterious drug which allows him to access 100% of his brain, and he is coerced into using his new-found drug-enhanced abilities for good.

Additional cast include Jennifer Carpenter, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Hill Harper.

Marc Webb (“The Amazing Spider-Man“, “500 Days of Summer”) will direct the pilot episode based on a screenplay written by Craig Sweeny. Cooper will also be executive producing the TV series, alongside Webb, Sweeny, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley, and Tom Forman.
