If you miss “Full House” as much as we do, the you’re in luck. Not only has a “Full House” reunion been confirmed, it seems like the fan favourite “Uncle Joey” character will return too, played by the original actor, Dave Coulier!

Rumours of a reunion first emerged in October last year and since then, the neccesary work on the TV series has quickly picked up.

Full House Reunion

From what we know, in “Fuller House”, the adventures that began in 1987 on “Full House” continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron-Bure) pregnant and recently widowed, living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s two boys – the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max – and her soon-to-arrive baby.

Dave Coulier, who played Joey on ABC’s “Full House”, recently announced on Instagram that he’s returning for Netflix’s reboot of the series. “Yes, I’ll be on the ‘Fuller House’ reunion,” he wrote in the caption for a photo of himself with director Mark Cendrowski.

In addition to Coulier, other original “Full House” cast members John Stamos, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure are also expected to appear on the revival.

On Tuesday (5th May), Bure spoke about “Fuller House” on the “Today” show, saying that the Netflix series won’t be the same as the original. She said, “It’s definitely a fresh take. We’re not doing the old show, it’s not a reunion. It’s a spinoff show.”

Watch John Stamos make the official announcement on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” below:

“Fuller House” is from Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television for Netflix. Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin are the executive producers of the series, which was created by Franklin. John Stamos is a producer.

Here’s to hoping Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen eventually get on board too. Fingers crossed now!
