Hurray! More “LivWell” for everyone!

It seems like the undead will continue to stay undead because The CW’s “iZombie“, which stars Rose McIver as Olivia “Liv” Moore, has officially been renewed for Season 2.

The network announced the season renewal on Wednesday (7th May), but it is unclear how many episodes Season 2 will air.

Produced by “Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas, the one-hour drama is loosely based on DC Comic’s Vertigo Imprint “iZombie” series written by Chris Roberson with art by Michael Allred.

It follows the story of Liv, a 25-year-old overachieving medical resident who became a zombie after attending a party that shockingly turned into a “zombie feeding frenzy”. Stuck somewhere half-alive and undead, Liv loses all traces of her former drive and ambition. In order to maintain her humanity, she transfers her medical residency to the city morgue in order to reluctantly access the only real form of sustenance left available to her – human brains.

McIver, who starred in ABC’s “Once Upon A Time” as Tinker Bell, is portraying Liv while newcomer Rahul Kohli portrays her medical examiner boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti. The series also stars Malcolm Goodwin (“Breakout Kings”), Robert Buckley (“One Tree Hill”), David Anders (“Once Upon A Time” and “The Vampire Diaries“), and Aly Michalka.

Though it’s not a breakout hit, the series keeps getting better and better each week. The season renewal gives hope that a certain character may survive a bite from a zombie rat in the recent episode.

The series regular took to Twitter to share the happy news:

“iZombie” airs every Sunday at 9pm on Warner TV HD (HyppTV Channel 613 and the HyppTV Everywhere mobile app).

For more information about the series, visit its official website or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
