Justin Bieber has gotten into a lot of troubles in the recent years, but this year could be his shot at redemption. His haters have had their best moments of their lives when multiple comedians took turns skewering the tattooed troublemaker on Comedy Central earlier this month.

In an attempt to reinvent his image, he took it all in good spirit. As if that wasn’t enough to shed his bad-boy image, American actor Ben Stiller revealed that the Canadian singer-songwriter is set to make a cameo in the upcoming sequel of 2001’s “Zoolander“.

Stiller confirmed via Instagram that Bieber is joining the cast of “Zoolander 2″ for a cameo appearance. No details regarding his role were revealed, but he could be Stiller’s Derek Zoolander’s biggest competitor ever. He can be seen striking his best Blue-Steel pose against Zoolander in Stiller’s Instagram post.

Bieber may not be the only pop star to make a cameo appearance because various other celebrities including Jonah Hill, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell, and Anna Wintour were all rumoured to appear in the sequel as well.

Zoolander

Directed and produced by Stiller, the 1st “Zoolander” film was a cult comedy that received strongly positive reviews from the movie critics. Since it revolves around a male model becoming a pawn in a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the movie was never shown in Malaysian cinemas.

After confirming that the script for the sequel was already in the works since 2010, Stiller attended this year’s Paris Fashion Week and crashed the Valentino show with his co-star Owen Wilson to officially announce the sequel.

Zoolander Sequel

Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Kyle Mooney, and “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” star Penelope Cruz have signed on to star in the movie too. Olivia Munn, who will portray Psylocke in “X-Men: Apocalypse“, also joined the cast for an unspecified role. There is no lack of original cast members in the sequel as well because Will Ferrell, Billy Zane, and Stiller’s wife Christine Taylor will return to reprise their respective roles.

Stiller also confirmed that child actor Cyrus Arnold will step in to portray his character’s son.

Slated for release on 12th February 2016, the movie is co-written by Stiller himself and “Iron Man 2″ scribe Justin Theroux. The production crew is currently shooting the film in Rome.
