Phew. It looks like the good people of Twitter are huge “Star Wars” fans too!
As you might’ve already heard, the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim is about to kick into full swing. The celebration will feature panel discussions from the cast and crew of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens“, and also a new trailer for the film. As such, Twitter just announced a way for you to join in the “Star Wars” fun – with a range of official customised “Star Wars” emoji.
The emojis include characters from “The Force Awakens” and the first 3 to be released are:
A press release from the company said they wanted to give Twitter users the ability to show their enthusiasm for the ever-evolving Star Wars universe.
How to tweet a #StarWarsEmoji, you ask? It’s simple! Allow us to explain: Twitter users who post hashtags representing keywords associated with specific Star Wars characters and legacy themes will see a small emoji-like icon automatically appended to the end of the text of the tag, embedded within the tweet.

Expect more iconic legacy characters and a handful of new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” characters’ emojis to be announced within the coming months.
