In November last year, we shared the news on the release of the first official Kurt Cobain documentary, and now, just a couple of months later, the highly anticipated trailer of the documentary has been released.
The critically acclaimed documentary entitled “Montage of Heck” is set to premier on television May 4th and HBO has given fans a taste of what to expect with an overwhelming two and a half minute long trailer.

Packed with snippets of never-before-seen home movies and family photos, the trailer also shows how “Montage of Heck” will smoothly put together animation into the story of Cobain. The trailer shows Cobain, an intelligent shy kid who grew up in the Pacific Northwest who is seen growing into a rebellious teen and ultimately a generational rock star who, as one family members says, was not ready for the wave of fame that was about to hit him.
Much like the film, the trailer is paced by interviews with family members and basis Krist Novoselic. In addition to the movie, director Brett Morgen also promises that soundtrack for the “Montage of Heck” would feature a 12-minute acoustic unheard track by Cobain.
