After expanding its cinematic universe with Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man” film franchise, Marvel once again drew in a significant amount of fans with the new “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer. Prior to the trailer debut, Marvel asked fans to unite to “unlock an epic new #Avengers #AgeOfUltron trailer” by tweeting with the hashtag #AvengersAssemble.
Having released various teaser trailers in the past, this was indeed a smart way to create hype because the studio engaged its huge fan base’s participation in their promotions.
It’s go time, Marvelites: Tweet using #AvengersAssemble to unite & unlock an epic new #Avengers #AgeOfUltron Trailer! http://t.co/01G5TtzsLF

Alas, teamwork was truly the path to success as the trailer made its debut online before its TV broadcast on ABC. That’s the strength of Marvel fans, which is not surprising because it is, after all, the most highly anticipated movie of the year.
Robert Downey Jr. returns to the film as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. After his short stint as Richmond Valentine in “Kingsman: The Secret Service”, Samuel L. Jackson returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Nick Fury, alongside Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill.
The official synopsis of the film is as follows:
Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
There are tonnes of never-before-seen sequences from “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, including a glimpse at Paul Bettany’s Vision at the very end of the trailer.
The Vision is an old friend in a new form as Bettany voices Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S in the “Iron Man” films. His duty in the movie remains a mystery because he may or may not help the Avengers fight against James Spader’s Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. The team will also meet the Maximoff twins, played by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
If we have to choose our favourite scene, it has to be this:
Captain America is seen getting hit by Quicksilver, who runs at a supersonic speed to deliver a punch. It reminds us of “Avengers vs. X-Men #2″ because Quicksilver was running 347 miles in 3.7 seconds to “meet” his father at mach-5 and deliver a punch at him.
In the Marvel comic universe, Quiksilver a.k.a Pietro Maximoff has been both hero and villain with his twin sister, Scarlet Witch. He can be as arrogant and manipulative as his father, but due to Scarlet Witch’s wildly unpredictable powers, Pietro has to protect her and try to be in the best interests of his family.
Speaking of Scarlet Witch, the new trailer revealed a first look at her mind control power. It can be seen at the 1:39 mark, where she mind controls Black Widow. It’s safe to assume that she had also controlled The Hulk’s mind as his eyes also turned red in the previous teaser trailer
Perhaps this is how Ultron plans to take away humans’ hopes as he plans to “tear them apart, from the inside”.
Teasing fans with just the right amount of what to expect, it is without a doubt that Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is set to be a box-office hit.
