Despite his lawsuit drama with agency SM Entertainment, there’s no stopping ex-EXO member Luhan as of yet. Since he has already achieved box office success with the release of Chinese movie, “Miss Granny“, he might as well continue to ride the waves – and apparently, he will!
On 13th Feb, it was reported that Luhan will be back on the silver screen as the male lead of another Chinese movie tentatively titled, “I Am A Witness”. The movie is said to be a remake of a 2011 Korean thriller and crime-based award-winning flick titled, “Blind“, which starred Yoo Seung Ho and Kim Ha Neul. The “Blind” plot revolved around 2 witnesses of a murder, who collaborate to hunt down the murderer.
Starring alongside Luhan as the movie’s main couple is Chinese actress Yang Mi. Yang Mi will play a blind witness who is blind whereas Luhan was chosen for his role with his befitting age, aura, athletic abilities, and appealing appearance suitable for the male lead’s character. The movie is to be co-produced by New Clues Film based in Beijing and Jaywalk Studio based in Shanghai. “I Am A Witness” is scheduled to start filming in March.
This would be the second “Chinese remake of a Korean movie” project that Luhan will be involved in, the first being “Miss Granny” aka “Back to 20″.
