Hot on the heels from launching their latest outlet at Quill City Mall less than a month ago, GSC Cinemas has sneakily updated us on their next expansion. Now, we were already aware that GSC will continue to open more outlets in 5 new locations in 2015 e.g. GSC Nu Sentral Kuala Lumpur, GSC IOI City Mall Putrajaya, GSC Klang Parade, GSC Ipoh Parade, and GSC Aman Central Alor Setar. But we didn’t know which one would go first and when.
As spotted on their website, it appears that the next outlet will open at Nu Sentral Mall, Kuala Lumpur’s latest addition to the lifestyle industry.
Nu Sentral is the first Malaysia’s integrated “green” lifestyle and transit mall hub developed to optimise the changing lifestyles of Malaysian and international travellers. Located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral CBD, Kuala Lumpur’s strategic Central Business District, Nu Sentral has a captive market of over 800,000 households and a total population of over 3.6 million.
As it stands. Nu Sentral Mall is already home to popular brands such as Cotton On, Converse, H&M, Monki, UNIQLO, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Sephora, The Face Shop, Parkson, Jaben, Machines, and more. So it’s only befitting that GSC Cinemas gets added to the bill.
According to the banner on GSC’s website, GSC Cinemas’ Nu Sentral Mall outlet will feature 11 screens, some 3D capabilities, and at least one (amount to be reconfirmed later) hall will come fitted with multidimensional sound technology Dolby Atmos. No hints whatsoever if this one will come fitted with D-Box motion seats too.
We’ll just have to wait and see!

We just heard from our friends at GSC that the GSC Nu Sentral Mall won’t come fitted with D-Box motion seats upon launch but there’s a possibility that it could happen in the future. Maybe
