You guys! “Inception” and “The Dark Knight Rises” star Joseph Gordon-Levitt just dropped a huge surprise on us over the New Year’s. The 33-year-old actor secretly wed his girlfriend Tasha McCauley at their home on Saturday (20th December), but the news was only confirmed by the actor exclusively to People over the weekend.
In case you were wondering, Tania McCauley is the co-founder of Fellow Robots, a robotics company based at NASA Research Park in California. The 2 have kept their relationship on the down low for a long time now. That’s a given since Joseph has always been notoriously private about his personal life. But he did previously hint to Howard Stern back in September 2013 that he had a special someone in his life who wasn’t “in show business”.

At that time, he also declined to name her, saying:
I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public. The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of that.
He also opened up about marriage, and whether or not he could stay in a monogamous relationship, “I think that I could partner up with somebody – I don’t know who that somebody is – I could partner up with a woman and commit to we’re going to raise a family and that’s a project we’re going to commit to for 20-something years. I like to not be too committed to any one future that’s really far away, necessarily, unless there’s a reason, which is why I’m saying if you’re gonna raise a family…I can make that commitment.”
Aww, such a sweetheart.

Meanwhile, Joseph-Gordon Levitt will be seen next as Edward Snowden aka “the world’s most wanted man” in “The Snowden Files”. He will also play iconic wire-walker Philippe Petit in the live-action feature film, “The Walk”.
