Oh, no she didn’t!
Rihanna and Calvin Harris are mega superstars in their own respective genres; Harris enjoys a spot in EDM’s A-list and the Barbados-born pop star is one of the most bankable acts in all of music. In 2011, these two superstars came together with “We Found Love,” and to no surprise, both their stars rose significantly and it was a major breakthrough moment for EDM in general.
Unfortunately, it looks like their love affair was nothing more than a fling as Rihanna has rejected a track the Scottish DJ/producer wrote for her new album, with R&B singer Tinashe. The “Pour It Up” singer is currently working on a highly-anticipated album, which Harris claims is set to release real soon.
According to Harris, he loves the track but when it was sent to Rihanna’s team, he never heard back about it. It does not look like there is bad blood between the duo, and that Harris think she may just have not liked the song. Guess he’s in a hopeless place. (Sorry.)
While we are hopeful for other upcoming collaborations, we’ll leave you guys with their 2011 hit single “We Found Love”.
