Did you hear? Our friends at Golden Screen Cinemas are playing host to some of the world’s top quality European films in conjunction with the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) 2014. Now in its 15th edition in Malaysia, the EUFF will showcase 21 award-winning movies and documentaries from 17 European countries at selected Golden Screen Cinemas in:
- Kuala Lumpur (Mid Valley, 1Utama, and Pavilion KL from 30th Oct – 9th Nov)
- Georgetown (Gurney Plaza from 13th – 19th Nov)
- Kuching (CityONE Megamall from 27th Nov – 3rd Dec)
- Kota Kinabalu (Suria Sabah Mall from 11th – 17th Dec)
The eclectic line-up at this year’s EUFF features everything from comedy, romance and drama to animation and documentaries. Highlights include “The Best Offer”, “The Broken Circle Breakdown”, “Snow White” (Blancanieves), “The Hunt”, “A Royal Affair”, The “Symmetry of the Butterfly”, and the only animated movie of this edition of the festival. “Niko 2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble”.
Last but not least, there’s also “Exit Through the Gift Shop” from the UK which won the Independent Spirits Awards 2011 for Best Documentary:
Tickets for the EUFF will be priced at RM7, except for “The Best Offer” (Italy), which will be priced at prevailing ticket pricing, while “Snow White” (Spain) and “Exit Through the Gift Shop” (UK) will be screened for free.
