Guinness has amplified the lives of many with its magical journey.
The highly successful Guinness Amplify campaign came to an end on a high note on October 18th (Saturday) as thousands of Malaysian music fans gathered together at KL Live to celebrate music “Made of More” at the Finale Show. In for a treat, fans were served with magical goodness at the finale as Magic!, the Canadian Nu Reggae act that has taken the world by storm with their multi-platinum smash-hit single “Rude”, were the main act of the night.

In the past seven weeks, Guinness Amplify: Music Made of More has toured across Peninsular Malaysia to bring together some of the very best local acts this country has to offer in showcase of the passion, talent, and dedication that our local heroes possess. Each weekend featured a free-admission gig at various venues in the Klang Valley, Johor, and Penang, before making its way back to Kuala Lumpur for the Finale Show.
The epic finale at KL Live kicked off with local electropop group Dash. Electrifying , Dash took stage with high-energy and put on a set which was the perfect warm up for fans to get ready to rock out to a fantastic evening of live music. The five-piece group from Kuala Lumpur who had previously headlined their own show in the Guinness Amplify Live Tour, and their inimitable stage presence and vibrancy thrilled the crowd once more as they played some of their most popular hits including favourited “If I Don’t Stay” and “Overrated Understatement”.

Musical genius OJ Law was up next and treated the audience to the signature stylings of his ‘Banana Indie Soulrocktronica’. Exemplifying the unique nature of all the acts that have been involved in the Guinness Amplify campaign, OJ Law’s dedication to his work shone through during his performance with a mind-blowing and technically proficient set featuring crowd-favourite hit single “Tongue Tied”.

Finally, the moment that everyone was waiting for arrived as Magic! took stage after a brilliant performance by OJ Law. The four-piece band from Toronto took stage to the screams of thousands of music fans that were present at the finale. Despite it being the band’s debut performance in Malaysia, Magic! took fans on a journey through their new album, Don’t Kill the Magic and wowed the crowd with a performance worth of the band’s name.

The band ended their set with their smash-hit single “Rude” which not only has earn the number #1 spot in the US and UK single charts but has gone multi-platinum as well. The band’s fresh, up-beat Reggae-inspired riffs didn’t just have fans dancing and singing along to them, they also had fans raising their glasses of Guinness® in the air in appreciation, providing Guinness Amplify with a magical end to its fantastic journey.
