Oh so confusing! Now the “Iron Man” lead Robert Downey Jr is saying that “Iron Man 4″ is not happening.
Yeah you heard that right. It’s not happening, contrary to what he said during The Ellen Show. But we figured that he was probably tired of the talk about “Iron Man 4″ and jokingly confirmed the possible return of the film.
Thus, the actor later made an appearance on “Late Show with David Letterman” to clarify that the studio has other plans for the Iron Man instead.
He said:
There’s no script for “Iron Man 4″, but they do have a plan and I think they’re gonna announce it. You know, [Marvel's] very secretive about it.
When asked about whether or not there will be an “Iron Man 4″ again, the actor denied it and said he might do “other stuff with Marvel”, indicating that the studio is trying to keep him with a new contract.
With only 2 films left in the contract (“Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Avengers 3“), it seems like it may take a while to confirm the possibility of the actor returning as Iron Man as he is still in negotiations with Marvel to make a new deal.
Bummed, we’re totally bummed!
