Ben Affleck aka Batfleck basically just said that he doesn’t really care about the haters.
The “Today” show co-host Matt Lauer asked the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor about the haters who were angry when he was cast as Batman in the latest Warner Bros. film franchise. As cool as the actual Batman would react to such criticism, Ben Affleck simply brushed it off.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker and A-list Hollywood actor said:
We have these cultural stories that people have attachments to, they care very much about, the fans have imagined it, they write fan fiction, and they get very into and it and they’re certainly entitled to those feelings. This is the movie that more than any other movie combined, people come up to me and are really excited. So to have all this attention, some of it’s positive, some of it’s negative, I think in the end the truth is, you make the movie and the movie works or it doesn’t.
Well said, Batfleck!
Meanwhile, here’s a first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne on the set of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. Let’s not forget that The Piano Guys recently pulled off an awesome “Batman Evolution” music video, a tribute to the Dark Knight. Also, true blue fans really, really shouldn’t miss the TV series based on a time before Batman, “Gotham“.
Yes, we can’t stop gushing about all Batman-related topics! As you can tell, we’re big fans.
