In the past, there has been many “makeovers” of your favourite Disney characters in various styles – goth, grunge, what they’d look like if they were real people, biker-mode and all tattooed up, in modern day, etc. You name it and they’ve probably done it.
Recently, DesignCrowd, a virtual design studio, encouraged aritsts to reimagine famous Disney characters as coffee-shop lurking, thrift-store hunting, quinoa-worshipping hipsters. What if Snow White and the 7 dwarves moved out of the woods and into a converted warehouse in Brooklyn? What if Ariel, bored with her #basic fish friends, got a bunch of tattoos and created a Tumblr account? And Pinnochio, tired of living a lie, finally embraced his inner artist and found himself with the help of a vintage camera and some 35mm film?
