It seems that the law is after one half of the “Sumptuous Erotica” sex bloggers big time.
Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee aka “Alvivi” have landed themselves into trouble once again following the discovery of their controversial blog in 2012. Well, more so Alvin than Vivian now. The pair still face 2 charges under the Film Censorship Act and Sedition Act over their controversial “Ramadhan greeting” posting last year, which contained the words “Selamat Berbuka Puasa (dengan bak kut teh… wangi, enak, menyelerakan)”, as well as over their blog’s pornographic images.
The original post caused an uproar among Malaysians of all races for their insensitivity. Following which, it was removed and replaced with a picture of them eating ketupat, rendang, and curry puffs, as seen above. They were initially charged for the original post but it was struck out by the court of Appeal on 21st April as the charge of stirring hostility between religions was not applicable to non-Muslims.
That having said, their battle with the law wasn’t over just yet because they’re still in trouble for “Sumptuous Erotica”.
In May, Alvin and Vivian went to Singapore to shoot a documentary. After which, Alvin was supposed to return to Malaysia and surrender his passport to court. But alas, that was the last anyone has heard of him. According to Alvin’s Facebook profile, he was last seen active on 25th May:

On his other Facebook profile, however, his last post (dated 26th May) was a screenshot of what looks like a WhatsApp conversation between him and Vivian. In the conversation, Vivian is seen telling Alvin off for being “a heartless, empty soul” and to get his “nymphomania cured” before he can find his heart again.

Last Friday, the Sessions Court forfeited the RM20,000 bail imposed on Alvin after he failed to return his passport for the third time. According to Star Online, Alvin’s 57-year-old mother also has no idea whatsoever about where her son is. She said that she had tried to contact her son and even left messages for him but to no avail.
As such, the Sessions Court issued an arrest warrant for Alvin and if that’s not enough, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said his officers were liaising with the international police to bring Alvin back and surrender his passport to the court. Even his lawyer, Chong Joo Tian, who is unsure if Alvin was still in Singapore, confirmed, “The assistance of Interpol has been enlisted to locate and bring Tan back to face charges with Lee.”
