The Return Of Liverpool Academy 2012

Courts, in partnership with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced the return of the Liverpool F.C International Academy (Liverpool Academy) to Malaysian shores.

A total of over 200 children, recruited from Courts stores and via FAM’s national training program will be able to gain a once in a lifetime chance to access the Reds legendary coaching programme that have birthed such prominent footballers like Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler to name a few.

The Liverpool Academy is open to all Malaysian children aged from as young as five years of age to 16 years. Children will be required to bring along their own football boots but will be given their very own Liverpool training kit comprising jersey, shorts, socks and their very own Liverpool F.C Special Edition Key Chain and Lanyard to take home along with a wealth of football tips and tricks.

The Liverpool Academy will take place from 3rd – 14th December 2012 at Prasada Plus Mini Stadium in Petaling Jaya led by Liverpool legend Ian Rush who will also made a surprise in-store appearance on 2nd December for fans and be on hand to mentor selected participants of the Academy.

Parents interested to enroll their football loving sons or daughters for the Liverpool Academy need only do so at one of eight nationwide recruitment road shows currently underway in Courts stores nationwide.

Upon qualification, participation is free with children being split into two categories – under 12s and under 16s and divided into three groups with pre-set training days. The recruitment roadshows which have taken place since late October will culminate in a final roll call for enrolment at Courts, Klang on 24 – 25 November.
