Quick question: DC superheroes or Marvel superheroes? If you prefer Marvel superheroes, then you’re going to love this.
The battle between Marvel and DC continues as Marvel Studios has recently announced the release date for 5 new untitled movies through 2019!
The new films are part of Marvel’s ambitious plan that extends all the way until 2028. It is a long term plan but the Marvel cinematic universe has been “collecting fans” ever since they released their first 2 Marvel movies, “Iron Man” and “The Incredible Hulk” in 2008.
After the studio slotted two movies “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” this year, “The Avengers: The Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man” are the upcoming Marvel movies to watch as they have already been slated for release in 2015. It is reported that Marvel’s president Kevin Fiege might break out their 2-per-year plan as well due to an untitled movie that was previously slotted to be released on 5th May, 2017.
But since the studio has already confirmed there will only be 5 new untitled films until 2019, here is the list of Marvel’s films release dates:
- Untitled Marvel: 28 July 2017
- Untitled Marvel: 3 November 2017
- Untitled Marvel: 6 July 2018
- Untitled Marvel: 2 November 2018
- Untitled Marvel 3 May 2019
Meanwhile, Warner Bros has just started bringing the DC Comics universe to the silver screen and they currently have 11 superhero films in development that has been planned until 2018. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated for release on 26th April 2016 and will go up against Marvel’s “Captain America 3″ which is due to release on 6th May 2016.
And of course, Warner Bros isn’t the only competition here as Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox will be releasing the sequel of “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “X-Men” respectively.
Goodness. So many superhero films, so little time! Which superhero film you are most excited about though? Let us know in the comment box below!
