Carnage sets the trap on all of us!
Carnage made his debut in Malaysia this past Saturday, May 31st at Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur and gave us the best ending to the glorious month of May. Carnage who has a catalogue of dirty euro-trance/trap hybrid bangers played a two hour set at Mainroom, Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur.
The Guatemalan DJ in sunglasses definitely brought out the craziest and wildest energy of probably one of the most suffocated crowds Zouk’s mainroom has ever seen. With the speakers on full blast; Carnage injected the room with pounding electro beats with trap arrangements that got the raving mob raging to his sound as he manifested hard drops to each dreamy build that lead the crowd to pump to his beats.
Hype.my, with the help of our friends from Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur, managed to have a quick chat with Carnage before he took the deck. Here’s what we talked about:
Q: Hey Carnage! Do you have any big plans for the rest of 2014?
Yeah, my single Bricks comes out on June 17th with Migos, a really big rap group out there in America so yeah, I’m doing a rap song. My album is also coming and I have a big fall tour in North America.
Q: How would you say your sound has change from when you first started?
I have tried to cater to a more international level. Not like cater where I can’t be myself but cater to open more doors for me so I can still be myself.
Q: So when you play at different events and venues, do you cater to the specific event or do you have a signature style?
I cater to the crowd. I love seeing the crowd having fun.
Q: Any specific routine you have before putting on a show?
Get drunk! Haha.
Q: How do you kick back and relax when the party is over?
Go home, watch movies in my bed and just chill.
Q: Since this is your first time in Malaysia, are you excited to see what happens tonight?
Yeah it is. I’m really excited to see what happens tonight.
Q: Are you expecting anything different from the Malaysian crowd?
Well, I heard there’s a lot of energy here. So we will see how it is, but I’m sure it will be great.
Q: Last one, what is your ultimate guilty pleasure?
My ultimate guilty pleasure? Hmm…I like Asian women. Haha!
