This morning, the 40th Annual American Music Awards 2012 swept your favourite mainstream artistes off their feet with a grand gala event held at Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles. You might remember the list of nominees that we put up a month ago here. But before we get into that, let’s talk about (or just watch and gawk at) the most epic performance of Psy’s “Oppa Gangnam Style” ever known to mankind. Why epic?

Linkin Park for favourite alternative? Hands down! They did, after all, make an awesome comeback with their “Living Things” album. And finally, we can now stop calling Carly Rae Jepsen because she just bagged the “New Artist of the Year” honours this year!
