Now it’s either Justin Bieber just can’t catch a break or is a desperate attention seeker.
The Biebs has done it again – he’s gotten in trouble with the law, nothing surprising there now considering that he’s had multiple run ins with the law in 2013 and it looks like 2014 isn’t going to be any different. According to police, the Canadian popstar was charged on Wednesday with assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto a month ago.
Justin arrived at Toronto police station for booking on Wednesday evening despite a chaotic scene as determined paparazzi, reporters and screaming fans converged around his SUV. About a dozen Toronto police officers had to shove their way through the crowd to escort Justin. They managed to get him through the door after a struggle.
The alleged incident took place after the limo driver picked up a group of six people outside a Toronto nightclub just before 3.00a.m. on December 30th, according to a police statement.
“While driving the group to a hotel, an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver of the limousine,” the police statement said. “In the course of the altercation, a man struck the limousine driver on the back of the head several times. The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police.”
The All Around The World singer is schedule to appear in a Toronto court on March 10th, 2014, police said.
Bieber is set to appear in a Toronto court on March 10, 2014, police said. This arrest makes it Justin’s second arrest in a week.
The singer’s representative sent a written statement to CNN on Wednesday night as the singer was inside the police station.
“The Toronto Police Service requested that Justin Bieber appear in Toronto today to face an allegation of assault relating to an incident on December 29, 2013,” the statement said. “We anticipate that this matter will be treated as a summary offence, the equivalent of a misdemeanour in the United States.”
“Our position is that Mr. Bieber is innocent,” the representative said. “As the matter is now before the court, it would be inappropriate to address the specifics of either the allegation or of our defence at this time.”
Guilty or not, we personally think Justin Bieber should either get some help or stay out of everyone’s way for a while.
