Ouch! Jon Foreman hurt his face!
Switchfoot has postponed its hometown album release show that was originally scheduled for today, January 15th to February 3rd, after frontman Jon Foreman got injured in a surfing accident.
The rock band from San Diego, California had initially planned to celebrate the release of its new record Fading West with a concert at the Casbah in their hometown. Unfortunately, Jon sustained a wound to his face while surfing on January 13th, Monday and will need a few days of rest before going back on stage.
“You travel all around the world making a movie and record built around surfing, and really push yourself to ride some really challenging waves,” Jon said in a statement. “So it’s more than a bit ironic to get injured in your own backyard. Thankful that I’m okay — it could have been much worse.”
The show, rescheduled for February 3rd and those with tickets to the sold-out show can still visit the Casbah tonight for a signing of the band’s new album. Fans also get to partake in a meet-and-greet with the band members.
