Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia’s most talented and sought after music producers, he has proven his skill in professional sound design, scores for film and electronic dance music.
The characteristic cinematic, percussive and bass-heavy sound he produces can be heard on his original tracks such as “Indigo” and “Prism”, his collaboration with John Digweed and Nick Muir on Bedrock. Recently, Jamie’s ‘The Wonder of You’ EP on the glorious microCastle label caused a massive stir hitting #11 in Beatport’s Top 100 and #1 in their Tech House chart, #5 in Progressive House and #3 in Electronica. The instantly recognizable remixes created for the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Booka Shade, D.Ramirez, Cid Inc, and Antix amongst a host of others have been no stranger to praise and support from the biggest names in the industry: Sasha, Laurent Garnier, D-Nox, Adam Beyer, Danny Howells and Secret Cinema.
As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, Jamie has left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha – Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work.
Forever striving to create those special moments in the peaks and the plateaus, Jamie’s live shows are an intriguing combination of DJing and performance with his own specially produced re-edits, tools and loops. His sets are best described as an expression of his personality containing that energetic bounce, hypnotic storyline and charged with all-important tension, release and atmosphere.
