A tribute to Freddie Mercury.
Freddie Mercury born Farrokh Bulsara On September 5th, 1946 was a British musician, singer and songwriter. Best known for his role as the lead vocalist of legendary rock band Queen, Freddie Mercury was loved for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. Some of Freddie’s biggest hits that he composed for Queen include Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Me Now, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Are The Champions.
Apart from his role as the lead vocalist of Queen, Freddie also led a solo career and occasionally served as a producer and guest musician, be it a pianist or vocalist for other artists. Freddie died of bronchopneumonia which was brought on by AIDS on November 24th, 1992, two days after publicly acknowledging that he had the disease.
