YouTube has launched careers for many artistes today and it has a created a culture of loyal fans who subscribe to singers’ channels, follow them on social media, and help them rise to fame. With that in mind, local organizer M.E Malaysia created “F.Y.I On Stage (F.Y.I short for ‘Favorite YouTube Icons’)”, a series of events which will introduce and highlight talented YouTube artists.
The event aspires to bring high-profile YouTube sensations that has been at the forefront as an influential pioneer in utilizing new media with the hope that it inspires young people to pursue and live their dreams.
The first F.Y.I On Stage brings three popular Asian-American YouTube artists – Victor Kim, Andrew Garcia, and JR Aquino to Kuala Lumpur this November. They were recently touring USA together as part of YTF, a group of performers comprised of the biggest celebrity entertainers from YouTube (one of which would be none other than Ryan Higa, who was here just a few months ago) and the social networking world.
M.E Malaysia are proud to invite these three outstanding talents to lead the two–hour sessions that celebrates their work while defining who they are and showcasing why they are an inspiration to millions of fans.
They will be joined on stage by rising solo singer-songwriter Tedd Chan, local band Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob, and high-profile dance crew, Katoon Network.
