Well, if you just happen to be anywhere in downtown Kuala Lumpur right now…this would be the soundtrack that best fits the description currently. It’s pouring heavy in the streets at about tea time, and most of us wouldn’t even dare stepping out for a few for that ‘all-so-crucial’ smoke break.
Thankfully, no two other people are alike and that’s exactly what I decided to do. Because it’s chilly inside, and quite honestly I could enjoy the rain outdoors. No, not getting physical with it but just to enjoy the breeze and the organized chaos it brings to our roads from a distance. And also, because it brings accuracy in visual form to this Ennio Morricone classic.
This rare 1971 gem here was taken off the soundtrack of French film titled ‘La Casse’, in where we experience aural bliss from the performance of legendary Bossa Nova queen, Astrud Gilberto. Produced by Ennie Morricone, who has previously scored music for Disney and worked before with famed movie maker Quentin Tarantino…and with assistance from Franco De Gemini, “Ma Non Troppo Erotico” may mean ‘but not too erotic’ if you flipped the script to English.
However, the mood & tone the song sets certainly doesn’t mean what it says. It completely gives you the vibe like you’ve just walked off the set of ‘Oceans Eleven’ or perhaps, even James Bond. It’s super sexy, Ryan Gosling slow-mo walking level. This is that song that, upon immediately listening to it, makes your co-workers wanna cat whistle you OR worst case, get frisky with you. It’s three and a half minutes of sex appeal oozing out of one song. We deem this one NSFW!
